"Fuck this." Seungcheol whispered under his breath, making his way into the dense forest.
"Seungcheol, wait." Mingyu ran after him, stopping in front of him.
"What now Mingyu?"
"It's dark Cheol. If you go in there, you won't be able to find us again until daylight. And who knows what's in there?"
"But Jeonghan's te—"
"Don't worry about his team. I'm sure that if something happened, they would know how to deal with it."
Seungcheol sighed. Mingyu patted him on the shoulder. "We'll look for them in the m—"Loud screams echoed around them.
"What was that?..."
"I don't know but I don't like it Minghao." Chan pouted as he scooted closer to Minghao. He acted like a child sometimes, Minghao thought to himself. Then again, he was the youngest out of them all.
"Guys, over there! It's them!" Pointed Junhui.Across the beach there were four figures running towards them. They arrived soon after, panting with faces painted with terror.
"Are you guys okay?"
"Did you get hurt?"
"What happened?"
Soonyoung, Junhui and Minghao were all speaking over each other, while Chan was searching behind them for his girlfriend, who was nowhere to be seen."D...Danger." Panted Seungkwan.
Mingyu's eyes widened.
"W-What do you mean danger?""Where are the others?" Asked Wonwoo and Seungcheol in unison.
"They're... they're coming." Replied an out of breath Jihoon.
"Jeonghan..." Whispered Joshua. Seungcheol's ears pricked at the name.
"W-Where is he?"
"He got... bitten. They're bringing him. Jiwoo and Seokmin."As if on cue, the trio appeared shortly after being mentioned. They were carrying a limp Jeonghan in their arms.
Seungcheol took Jeonghan and lay him down, while Jiwoo hugged Wonwoo and Chan. Seokmin made his way back to Seungkwan, his nephew, and embraced him in a tight hug.Now that everyone was reunited and rested, the group began telling the others what happened, starting from Seokmin.
"We were out finding shelter, when we came across a cave. It seemed to be the right size for all of us so we went in with Jeonghan leading the way. I was close to the back so I couldn't see much of what happened but—"
"I'll carry on, since I was at the front. If you don't mind Seokmin."
Jeonghan croaked. He was laid down with his head on Seungcheol's but then sat down in order to tell the story.
"It's no problem Jeonghan, go ahead."Everyone gazed at Jeonghan, urging him to go on.
"There was some sort of human or... animal... in that cave. I don't know what it was exactly but it lunged straight for me and knocked me over. It bit right into my leg. I told everyone to run but Seokmin fought the creature off of me with a branch and Jiwoo came to help drag me out. We left the cave and ran back here. I don't think it followed us."
Everyone was in shock and soon enough, chaos rippled through the group. How were they going to fight this creature?
Most importantly, how many of them were there?"We'll talk about it tomorrow morning. We'll just have to take shifts to see if anything's nearby. I'll go first." Seungcheol ordered.
The group once again obeyed and everyone settled down to sleep.
"I can take the first watch with you if you want." Wonwoo volunteered.
"Count me in too." Mingyu added from a few feet away.
