"Please, make the right decision."

"..."

"Alfred? Did you hear me?"
Alfred stayed silent.
"Alright then. I'll do it myself", Arthur said.
He chanted the spell and pointed his finger at me.

And suddenly, I felt like something was ripped from me.
I screamed in pain.
He was ripping my 2p from me.
I clutched my chest and pressed my head to the ground.

And when it was over, I felt... empty.

"Hey, are you okay...?"
The voice sounded similar to mine, but it was darker.
I looked up and my (e/c) eyes met blood red orbs.

"Hi. I'm your 2p, (2p/n) (l/n). Nice to meet cha."
She was standing and extended her hand to help me up.
I took it and got on my feet, but I almost fell thanks to my wobbly legs, if she didn't catch me in time.

"Careful", she purred.
"Thank you...", I muttered.

She helped me to stand properly.
"So, I don't have much time, but I wanted to have a little talk, if that's alright", (2p/n) said.
"No, you'll stay", I whispered.
"No, I won't", she replied, pointing at Arthur, who was already preparing the next spell.

"Remember when you beat up Allen? Or when you had your first kiss?", she asked.
"Yes, that was you."
She chuckled.
"No. I merely prompted you. That was you."
"Huh?"
A smile graced her scarred face.
"Look, what I'm trying to say is..."
My 2p sighed.
"It will probably hurt you when I'm gone. But, you're a strong woman, you never needed me. And honestly, after killing hundreds, no, thousands of people, I think it's good to die too."

I felt hot tears streaming down my cheeks.
She saw it and wrapped her arms around me.
"Don't cry. I'm... actually glad I have you as 1p. Looking at you makes me feel happy. Happy to have someone better than me", (2p/n) whispered.

I buried my face in her shoulder.
"But still, I have to prevent them from killing your friends", she continued. "I don't want them to make you unhappy."

She pulled away and her smile turned into a scowl when she turned around.
"I won't just die like that", she spoke and charged at Arthur.
Although she charged at him, she aimed for the book that was levitating in the air.

And Arthur just finished chanting - he aimed the spell at her.
A bright beam of magic hit her.
But before it hit, she threw a knife at the book.

The knife ripped through the pages, destroying it in the process.
My 2p turned around one last time and smiled at me before her body slowly turned to dust.

My eyes widened, and I stepped forward, trying to grasp at least something of her.

She also extended her hand, which desintegrated not even an inch away from mine.

I looked down at her remains.
If you could call it that.

I clenched my hands into fists.
I didn't even notice that blood was already running down my palms.

"That's... unexpected."
Arthur stared at the torn book.
"But that's why I have a backup plan."

"Arthur, stop!", Alfred shouted.

The others looked at him.

"Look at this, look at what we've done!", he exclaimed. "Just because we thought our 2ps were monsters!"

"He's... He's right...", Lovino said. "Her 2p actually cared for her. She sacrificed herself for all of them..."

"We can't just lock them away like animals in another world!", Alfred continued.
Arthur lowered his gaze.
He turned his head to look at the knife my 2p threw before she died.

"What... What have I done...?"

~2 weeks later~

"...so, Alfred convinced Arthur that I could take care of the 2ps. I mean, they're just... They're just people who need someone they can turn to, you know."

"Oh, and... I'm getting married!"
I showed my new ring, a silver ring, which had a (favorite gem) in the middle.

I smiled sadly.

"You know, I wish I could've gotten to know you better."

I got up and dusted off my pants.

"I'll come back tomorrow, probably", I said.

I turned around, and headed back towards the Vargas mansion.

And in the garden stood a lonely stone.
Inscribed was the name:

(2p/n) (l/n).

Fin

A/N: Wow. I finished it.

Well, it was really thrilling for me to rewrite this story.
I hope you enjoyed the rewrite.
It's pretty much another story which shares the beginning of the other one.
And to be honest, I'm a little proud of it.

But, all I wanted to say is thank you for reading. It means a lot to me.
