~your pov~
"I'm bored...", I muttered.
There was nothing to do here.
Luciano left because he had something to do, Flavio was working (thank god) and Lutz was also out.Leaves Kuro and Gillen.
I stretched and left my room, trying to find one of them.
I checked in Kuro's room first.
He was there, and he was drawing something."Good timing. Get undressed, I'm trying to figure out how you look without clothes", Kuro said.
I blinked twice.
"...Excuse me.""You heard me", he deadpanned.
I ignored him and took a look at his drawings.
He was indeed drawing me, and to be honest, he drew my chest a little bigger than it actually is.
There were a few pictures around which showed ahegao faces and some scenes I can't describe (because author-san doesn't want to rate this book mature)."Hentai, really", I muttered.
I suppose Kiku and Kuro represent the light and dark side of Anime, huh.I shook my head and exited his room, making sure that Kuro wouldn't let his hand slip again.
Come to think of it, they had like a training room here.
That's where I was headed next.I didn't want to be a helpless little kid, I wanted to do something. To help.
(And maybe even look cool while doing it.)All my life, I've just tried to escape from reality.
Not with drugs or alcohol, thank god.
Just, I played video games and watched Anime because I didn't like reality.
It was boring, colorless, not for me.
And suddenly I've found myself in a new environment, new faces, and it just makes me want to crawl back into the hole I call my room and dive into the world of Anime and video games once again.I arrived at the training room.
There were only a few weapons available - a pistol and a few knives.
I guess these guys don't practice too much - it was as if they were born for it.
I chuckled as I thought these ridiculous thoughts.I picked up the gun, and aimed. I held it with both my hands and pointed at the target.
I pulled the trigger - and the bullet didn't fire.
Embarrassed, I examined the pistol, trying to find my mistake. The gun was loaded and...
I didn't flick the safety lock.
How stupid.
Then again, I've never used a gun before.I flicked the lock and tried again - this time, the bullet fired, but I almost missed.
"Oh well, I still hit", I muttered.
I flinched, when someone put a hand on my shoulder.
"Sorry... But I can help you..."Gillen positioned me properly and told me how to deal with the slight recoil.
"And now try to do a headshot..."
I grinned at him and pulled the trigger. And it did hit exactly through the hole that was already made by someone else.
I dropped the gun and embraced Gillen in a hug.
It wasn't even that much of a thing, but still, I felt happy.
Wow, I just did a headshot on a target and I felt like I became the best shooter in the world.
He patted me on the back, awkwardly.
Judging by his reaction, he wasn't used to being hugged."Thanks for showing me", I said.
"No problem."
I pulled away and looked at him with an apologetic look.
He blushed and avoided my gaze.
I had to refrain from squealing and cuddling him to death because he was really cute.
I was disgusted by this feeling, but I couldn't help it.
"Would you like to take a walk around?", I asked. "I need some fresh air."
Gillen nodded and accompanied me.~little time skip brought to you by precious Gillen~
We took a walk around in the garden of the mansion.
It was a beautiful day outside, birds were singing, flowers are blooming.
On days like these I would normally sit inside and do what I always do.The garden itself was kept immaculate. Everything was incredibly neat.
The Vargas brothers were perfectionists, of course.Summer was a nice season.
It was hot, sunny, perfect to go outside, get bitten by mosquitos and so on.While we were walking, we had a little conversation to get to know each other.
Gillen told me his brother is bugging him to go out with him, for example clubbing.
People barely pay attention to him. It was only Lutz, who even acknowledged his existence."That's unfair", I told him.
"I've learned to deal with it", he responded. We went inside, and Gillen said he had to go.
I frowned, it was really nice spending time with him.
"Let's hang out sometime, okay?"Gillen's lips curled into a smile.
"Alright. I'll go now."
And he walked off.
I gazed at his figure, which was gradually becoming smaller with the distance. But I didn't feel the same as if I was looking at Luciano. My heart wasn't beating faster, my face wasn't feeling hot and I wasn't flustered when he looked back at me.
I just felt happy to see Gillen, nothing more.
Gillen is a nice friend.Like Alfred, just less annoying, cuter and adorable.
But not Alfred.
Alfred's... Special.I started to miss him.
I've known him a long ass time.
The first time we met is because my Gameboy was confiscated by a teacher because I played with it during class. He got it back for me - and called himself the hero.
And then he invited me over to his place to play video games.
That's how we became friends. But to be honest, I like it here.
It's not like I don't miss my best friend.
I just really like it here.I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to leave willingly.
