Yes dudes i know the writing is bad and the chapters are short
"Fossstttteeerrrr," Keefe whined, resting his head on Sophie's shoulder. "Can't we do something fun?"
Sophie shrugged his head off his shoulder, scoffing.
"Keefe. We are here to finish our homework. Now stop being ridiculous and help me!"
She started scribbling in answers and started writing notes for quite a while until she finally noticed that Keefe had still not joined her.
Sophie wheeled around in her chair, prepared to condemn Keefe to his death, and found him sprawled across the carpet, staring at the ceiling. He looked so peaceful, Sophie almost didn't want to interrupt him.
Almost.
"Keeeefffffee."
Sophie did not take crap from anyone, so when she didn't get a reply, she chucked her notebook at him.
"Ow."
Sophie smiled despite herself, quickly deciding that trying to get work done around Keefe was probably just a huge waste of time anyway. She mentally scolded herself for giving in so easily, but all of that thought disappeared when she noticed Keefe had closed his eyes, a subtle smile still etched across his lips.
It was absolutely adorable.
Sophie grumbled, secretly pleased as she made her way over to Keefe, patting the flowered carpet as she laid down next to him. She readjusted her body to face his and tucked a stray chunk of hair behind his ear.
"Keefe," she softly whispered into his ear, smiling.
His eyes fluttered open, lips stretching into a wide smile as he bopped her on the nose, tracing the curve of her cheek.
Sophie leaned into his touch, staring at him to take in his features; his ice blue eyes, the tousled blonde hair, the splash of freckles across the bridge of his nose, and the faint smell of rain and peppermint that Sophie absolutely loved.
And for a while, that was all they did, appreciating each others beauty, inside and out.
Sophie was quite aware that Grady could burst into the room at any second, but she didn't want to disrupt the peace of this beautiful moment.
She never wanted it to end.
