I sat down on the bed, while Sinbad went to go fetch something. My heart could not stop beating from my anxiousness of the situation.

"Oh god...what the hell am I supposed to say?!" I whisper screamed to myself.

"Are you alright (Y/N)? You're acting kinda strange." Sinbad called from the bathroom.

"Oh y'know..."

Sinbad peaked around the corner with an arched eyebrow and a confused expression. "No..I really don't."

"Um..y-yeah of course you don't, hahah...!" I scratched the back of my head while laughing uncomfortably.

Sinbad sighed and hunched his back over, causing his hair to fall over his eyes. "Listen (Y/N) if you're going to waste my time like this then maybe-"

"No!" I shouted. Sinbad's jaw dropped slightly and I just stared at him blankly. "I mean," I coughed. "It is important."

"Well then, I don't have all night." He grimaced. A vein popped on my forehead, caused by his lack of interest. Is this what it means to have a completely disinterested crush?!

"Sinbad... I've only known you for 3 months." His facial expression solemnized and he put his hand on his cheek. "But it feels like I've known you for a lifetime."Sinbad instantaneously straightened his back with an uncomfortable expression. Maybe I should just stop here... No, I've come this far, and I'm most definitely not stopping here.

"So..." I grabbed his hand and he looked into my eyes. "Just know that I care for you." I pause for intentional dramatic effect "and I love you." He gripped my shoulders.

"(Y/N), I've always seen you as a great friend." I was shocked. Was I truly wrong about his feelings. "I'm sorry I led you on..." he couldn't even look me in the eyes as he said so.

I stared silently at him for awhile, but in the end I smiled at him. "Ah..it's ok, I'm sure it's purely an aesthetic infatuation from the first place." I chuckled a little. "I've never had any romantic encounters before, so I wouldn't be able to tell the difference."

Sinbad was about to speak, but I cut him off.

"Honestly, it just feels good to get that off my chest. It would suck of I had this unrealistic expectation from you."

"(Y/N)...I'm sorry..." he gave me a guilty expression.

"D-don't be!" I stammered, "let's just be friends!" He looked up at me and I smiled. "Anyway, I hope you get a good night's rest~!" I ran out the door before he could get a word in.

Once I shut the door, all of my emotions finally hit me. The sadness and bitterness of rejection. The frustration and stupidness of unrequited love. I had all of them. I couldn't stop the tears from falling from my eyes.

"I really am an idiot..." I muttered quietly. I then ran in the direction of my room to wallow in my own sorrows.

Narrator POV

Unbeknownst to the girl; Sinbad heard her quiet sobs through the door. Once he heard the girl leave, he also couldn't help but let a few tears out if his own eyes.

He had to turn down the girl he loved because of his own insecurities.

"I'm sorry (Y/N)...I'm sorry I can't love you like a real man should..." he hiccuped. "I never intended to address these feelings, but never did I imagine that you would have these same feelings. I'm sad, but at the same time...overjoyed..." he monologued particularly to no one, but himself.

Sinbad looked himself in the mirror, but all he saw was a man lacking and scared of commitment. The only time he's ever felt this sad was when his mother died, but even so he couldn't determine whether his feelings were lustful or not.

"I guess I'll just go to bed..." he sighed to himself. Sinbad dropped onto his temporary bed, but even so he couldn't fall asleep.

Meanwhile...

(Y/N)'s pov

"I'm so stupid..." I covered my eyes as I wept. I knew this was going to be the outcome deep in my heart, and I also knew that I would be hurt by the rejection. But even so....

Just then I felt someone's eyes on me. As if I was being watched this very moment. I spun around and yelled out, "Who's there?!"

Nobody answered, as I was stuck sitting in my barely lit room. I picked up the only candle lit, and walked around to see if there was anyone hiding. I paced for a good five minutes, and just as I was about to leave the room I heard the closet creak. My curiosity got the best of me as I inched closer to the door.

"EEeekk!" I let out a shriek as someone covered my mouth and I passed out.
