Reminder that the battle of the garbage dump takes place during their first training camp

{Note 'omegan' rooms are automatically equipped with nesting materials. To ensure that a nest does not fall down or become damaged, preventing omegan meltdowns and murders, there is a device called a base that acts kind of like those foam puzzle piece thing that kids have although made out of soft netting and piping the pieces can snap together to make a nest bigger or smaller and allows for normal nesting materials to line and take shape around it, has foam insert to allow the structure to be stronger. You could also imagine a kids play pen but with lower walls and a lot bigger. }

The moment that Nekoma left Suga called for a pack cuddle session, he could see Noya's nervous gestures as well as feeling his own omega side whining and wanting to reaffirm their pack scents, plus he always loved an excuse to make Daichi squirm. This was of course the first time that they would be having a puppy pile over night all sleeping together and waking up together, Suga was so looking forward to it. Like most head omegas Suga liked to be close to his pack, but he also knew that he shouldn't just come right out on the first day of training camp and force them all to awkwardly sleep in a puppy pile. So, he'd let things happen naturally or so he thought until the rooms had been separated by secondary gender, frankly pissing the gray haired omega off. Tonight though he needed his pack, he wanted to cuddle with his whole family around him, sure it had been really nice making a nest with all the omegas and curling up together, but he was the most dominant of the omegas located in the nest meaning his instincts had forced him to stay alert to protect his pack. When they were all with the alphas no one was left without sleep because they were a big enough pack to completely surround the omegas and had more than one dominant and capable protector. Takeda had been fine with the declaration although surprised that they hadn't already been doing that every night, while Ukai was rather hesitant remembering his own lusty highschool days. Yet one glare from the gray headed omega had Ukai agreeing. Head omegas could be fucking scary. It was quickly decided that the alphas would transfer to the omegan room to make it more comfortable and less of an inconvenience for the omegas, who while the alphas were collecting their things had torn down their nest and began reconstructing it piling their own previous pieces at the bottom soft futons covered and connected by blankets covered the base of the now much bigger nest, each of the omegas worked on their own section that held their scent quiet hums being happily exchanged as though they were speaking their own language. This was the scene that the alphas opened the doors to, all simply standing and staring at the omega's grand creation. The minute the alphas' scents wafted into the room it was like a switch flipped and the omegas hurried over snatching blankets, pillows and clothing from the still shocked alphas. Within seconds the omegas went back to work with their new acquisitions serving as the raised walls of the nest, padding the outer edges and spreading the alphas' own scents throughout the nest like an intangible level of protection. The omegas had begun their odd hum once again and were moving around each other in an almost dance like pattern flitting back and forth across their already claimed sections. Ukai and Takeda had decided to check on their team before heading for their own rooms to sleep for the night. By the time that the two adults arrived there was a giant nest in the middle of the room and the omegas were taking even more from the alphas' hands and packing them in around the outside of the nest, most of the omegas had fully blown eyes their instincts having taken over. All except one excited orange haired omega who seemed to be happily flitting around like a nymph in a forest. Ukai grabbed at Daichi's shoulder, not expecting the low growl he received from the team captain, after Daichi had turned to look at him, his eyes seemed to finally clear as he met Ukai's confused face. "Sorry, my instincts are kind of haywire right now, I didn't mean to growl. What did you need?" Takeda was chuckling as he surveyed the scene from a couple feet away, knowing well enough that you don't interfere when an alpha is watching their mate or pack nest, Ukai had so much to learn. "It's alright kid, just what the hell is going on?" Daichi turned back to look in the room that Ukai had gestured to, a small smile on his face as he checked on the alphas besides him, who all happened to look as instinct driven as he had been earlier, all except for Kageyama, the lucky ass. "Not really sure coach, we just came over, they grabbed a bunch of our stuff and started adding it to their nest and I guess it triggered something with our instincts and we've just been kinda stuck here since." Surprisingly it was Kageyama who had answered their confusion. "It's because your instincts recognize this as the first time you're being invited into a nest, that's why they took our stuff, it's basically like them inviting you, by extension it also means it's our responsibility to protect the nest. For the omegas this is them showcasing the nest and making it worth protecting, for most of them this will be the first time they're allowing alphas in their nest so they're going over the top so the alphas find it worthy to protect. It's respectful to watch them create it and acknowledge the work that was put into it, that's why you're all frozen. You won't have the same problem next time because the instincts won't be as strong." Ukai was left wondering when the quiet alpha had ever talked so much and Daichi was frankly questioning whether Kageyama was a secret genius or something. Takeda broke the odd silence. "Is that why you and Hinata aren't as affected?" Ukai's head snapped to the happily skipping orange haired omega whose eyes were their normal bright honeyed color. Kageyama let off a bit of his pheromones allowing them to leak towards the omega, whose head quickly snapped up. "Bakayama, what do you want?" the words were terse and annoyed as he glared at the now eye rolling alpha. Kageyama nodded his head towards Daichi and Ukai while moving a hand to beckoning the omega forward. Hinata sighed giving his section one last pat as he carefully climbed from the nest. Giving off a low hum to the other omegas he made his way to them and stopped in front of Kageyama. "What's up Daichi, Coach?" Kageyama answered for them "They want to know why we weren't pulled in by instincts like everybody else." Hinata cocked his head in confusion until he finally seemed to understand after a moment of silence. "OH, well I don't really know I just usually do whatever I feel is the best, mom says I don't get taken over by instincts as much as other omegas because I don't ever deny them, so they neve have the need to take me over. Plus I've made lots of nests, Kageyama has stayed in a nest with my sister and I a couple of times too, I've never really had that problem though. Neither did Kags the first time he shared a nest with us. I think it was because we were both focusing on getting Natsu to stop crying. He's at my house enough that his scent is just kinda there." Hinata shrugged again as Kageyama nodded silently. "The first time I was in a nest with Hinata Natsu had been pushed around and made fun of at school so we were trying to comfort her, that's really all my instincts were responding to at that point." before Ukai or Daichi could respond to that there was a light chirping noise that had Hinata swinging his head back to the nest and the rest of the alphas stepping towards the nest. Hinata smiled brightly walking towards the nest that the omegas were now kneeling in the middle of, "Sorry gotta go, the nest is done, all omegas go on the inside and scent before any alphas are allowed inside." With that he skipped off and stepped quickly into the nest getting dragged into the arms of the other omegas. Takeda chuckled quietly adjusting his glasses. "So he's seen as the most vulnerable member of the pack then? Can't say I'm too surprised he is rather innocent." Daichi chuckled lowly as he watched the orange haired omega get vigorously scented by the rest of the pack omegas. "I don't really get it but I think all our instincts just immediately put him as the one needing the most protection." Kageyama grunted quietly a small growl leaving his lips. "It's because he has a naturally softer and more submissive omega side, that coupled with the fact that his alpha was murdered in front of him... He's bound to be seen as the most vulnerable pack member."

A/N ~ This isn't a filler ch. It's important! But I felt like doing an update while I work on the rest of this because it'll be a bit of a flashback section and is kinda complicated to write... Don't worry we're getting to the good shit soon... There's really important stuff coming up about the Hinata family as well as general theme and foreshadowing stuff. I've got lots planned it's just a matter of ironing it all out.
