In A Pack World

Ch. 1

For Hinata Shoyou being an Omega was not too bad, he went to a fully integrated school and had an extremely accepting team. With 5 alphas, 2 betas and 5 omegas they were a pretty solid little pack; with Suga and Daichi leading them, of course. Although the beginning hadn't been as smooth.

It became extremely obvious that Kageyama and Tsukki were not used to working with omegas; if their constant growling and fighting was anything to go by because every alpha who's played with an Omega knows that you don't get aggressive or growl when an omega is in a new environment they don't know; especially if they don't know most of the people.

Hinata and Yamaguchi made a good show of pushing down their instincts, they'd done a great job actually with the consistency of Tsukki and Kageyama's fights, but when Tsukki set Kageyama off saying something about the king of the court things got physical and the two little omegas couldn't fight instinct. The two scurried towards their things, Suga caught sight of them from behind Daichi's back where he, Ennoshita, and Noya had been quickly pushed as soon as the fight began.

Daichi had wanted to help the other omegas but he, of course, knew from Suga that touching an omega in a new environment while there was so much anger permeating the air was a very fast way to get attacked. Tsukki and Kageyama were now punching each other, trading blow for blow oblivious to the area around them, it would be stupid to get in between them. Hinata and Yamaguchi had made it to their belongings with glassy eyes, they huddled together and began pulling things from their bags creating a nest of their things around themselves; the real trouble was when Tsukki backed Kageyama up until his foot hit the outer ring of the two omega's impromptu nest. Suga bit his lip and thought vaguely of rescuing the two first-year Alphas but, he knew this was the fastest way to learn. There were two low growls and soon the two Alphas had textbooks, writing utensils and volleyballs raining down on them from two omegas whose territory they'd threatened.

This seemed to snap the two Alphas back to attention. "Oi, Hinata you dumbass stop throwing things at me." Kageyama began to take a step forward and was hissed at as Yamaguchi came to Hinata's side, swiping his hand in a claw-like fashion at Tsukki who'd begun to move towards them.

Suga chuckled a little pulling Noya and Ennoshita with him pushing them towards the two omegas as he pulled both Alphas back by their shirts.

Daichi began to move towards him, not wanting to leave him with the unknown volatile alphas, Suga just fixed him with a look and he almost whimpered, almost. Tanaka began chuckling behind him until Ennoshita fixed him with a similar look from across the room, and he did actually whimper.

Suga glared at the two first-year alphas now covered in small bruises and a little blood. "You two are fucking idiots." This had the two alphas flinching, Suga may be an Omega, but that does not mean that he's not a fucking hard ass. "Sorry, Suga-San" the two intoned like children.

"I'm going to fill you in on some stuff, what happened just now well you're lucky that they're both generally easy going people what you just pulled could have resulted in dangerous physical injuries. Omega's that are in a new place, around new alphas already don't feel safe, so when you two go growling about and acting like prepubescent bear cubs, you become a threat to them. Noya, Ennoshita and I are fine because we know this place, this place is our territory and we know that the other alphas and betas will protect us," he motioned towards where the rest of the team was standing loosely together close enough to intervene but not get in the way " Hinata and Yamaguchi, don't know any of us that well yet and the two they do vaguely know were the two causing them distress, so they got away and made their own space, their own territory where they were surrounded by their own things that they were familiar with. When omegas are in that state when they feel agitated and threatened the stupidest thing you could do was step into their territory without their permission. Instincts tell them to protect it with their lives because that's where any pups would be, in their territory." Kageyama's face paled and Tsukki kissed teeth. "Fuck."

Then Suga smiled, a smile that the rest of the team knew as being much too sweet each veteran member moving hands to cover their balls in sympathy sharing a knowing look as Suga moved both arms quickly and the two alphas fell to their knees clutching themselves. Suga then practically skipped over to where Noya had finally calmed the panicked omegas. Tanaka breathed out slowly turning to Daichi. "He's scary, but more power to ya if you could handle an omega like him. It's good that he's yours cause you're equally scary" This had Daichi blushing and smacking the back of Tanaka's head with a dark glare. "He's not mine and we're not together." This had the other team members around them chuckling and Asahi smiling down at Daichi with a knowing look.

"If you're done laughing and messing around, we're going to the club room to have a puppy pile you can come or stay here and join the two on the floor...

in cleaning up the gym." Suga's voice cut through the air and left no room for argument, causing the others to quickly shuffle after Suga, Ennoshita, Noya and the two shaking omegas.

Once inside the club room, Noya led Hinata and Yamaguchi to the far corner where a small futon was laid out on the floor surrounded by blankets and pillows, surprisingly the area was fairly big and empty other than the small nest, until Suga came back with a basket full of pillows and blankets setting them up on the floor around the futon. Yamaguchi looked quizzically at Suga, he'd almost fully pulled out of the dazed state that Hinata was still stumbling through, Suga smiled softly and pushed hair behind his ear. "We do pack cuddles a lot, Noya and I both have issues with touch starvation, really mild, but still a pain sometimes. So, we have a pack nesting space, it'll also help you feel more at home and get used to the alpha's scents. Then we won't have the same issue we had today, you'll just get pulled behind the alphas and betas like Noya and me."

Yamaguchi bit his lip, head bowed in submission. "Sorry about that we caused a problem." Noya who had pushed Hinata onto the futon jerked around at this. "No, it was not your fault and I'm going to beat the fuck out of those two idiots for pulling that shit." he began walking determinedly towards the club room door a murderous expression on his face, only to be stopped by a hand holding his shirt collar, dragging him back, it was, of course, Asahi. "Noya, don't you need to be here more, Hinata trusts you as an omega, us alphas won't be able to get close without you here." Noya looked back towards the futon where Hinata sat silently his eyes still unfocused but a slight tremble in his hands. Noya sighed tugging Asahi with him towards the futon.

That's how Kageyama and Tsukki found them; Asahi on the innermost side of the futon pushed against a wall with Noya pressed closely to his front, then Hinata snuggled between Noya and Yamaguchi, then Suga and Daichi who had his arm slung around Suga and reaching protectively around to touch the omegas meeting Asahi's arm that was doing the same. Across their legs lay Enoshita who was being bear-hugged by Tanaka, and finally at their heads curled towards the group was Narita and Kinoshita cuddled together lightly pressed against the tops of the other's all of them blissfully asleep. Suga, of course, noticed them he smiled at the two alphas holding up a finger for them to wait; he then gently reached over the youngest omegas shaking Noya gently. When Noya woke up Suga pointed towards the two awkwardly standing omegas and seemed to share some secret conversation with Noya who rolled his eyes but scurried to where he was laying directly on top of Asahi, who in his sleep clutched Noya to his chest and turned towards the wall caging Noya in. Suga giggled quietly then motioned for Kageyama to take Noya's now vacated space. 

Kageyama was being awkward about it as per usual but Suga simply fixed him with a glare and pointed at the space silently. Kageyama bit his lip and kicked off his shoes stepping into the space, and slowly lowering his body down to lay next to Hinata, Hinata made a silent humming noise and turned towards him wrapping his arms around his middle, pushing his head into his chest and finally settling down with his head cushioned by Kageyama's arm and his legs somehow under one of Kageyama's completely surrounded by him. Tsukki was soon forced to lay between Suga and Yamaguchi, which he attempted to act indifferent to but the fact that the minute he laid down Yamaguchi was cuddled up to him scenting him and rubbing his head familiarly into Tsukki definitely told a different story to the meddling Suga. That was the first time they felt like a real pack, that was their first puppy pile and it definitely would not be the last. That first night where each member eventually fell into the pile tangled together comfortably this would be repeated after every game win or lose.
