The air was stiff and the pace was slow. Logan had warned them not to go too fast or their energy will deplete and they will have to camp out a night in the deep woods of Transylvania, and that was not desirable. Transylvania was a scary place out in the wilderness. So it was slow, and boring, and nobody wanted to go through with the traveling however they must according to Logan's Devine weapon. Patton was on the horse with Roman since he hadn't learned how to ride, Logan had his own mount, and Valerie decided she wanted to walk after waking up. She needed to think, and she claimed walking helped her, so she walked beside the horse she had depicted as her steed.

"Can I tell a story Roman? It will help pass the time. Mommy, Jamahl, and Talyn always say I make the best stories."

A story? To pass the time? Roman looked over at Valerie to see if Shen wanted to hear a story. She looked tired. She needed a distraction. Logan he could care less about. They just met and they already don't get along. That part of this epic journey was going to be fun. He looked down at the Prince he shared the horse with, pressed against his chest. He smiled reassuringly and nodded, telling him to go ahead and start telling his story. Patton cleared his throat and began to tell his story.

"Once Upon a time there were four legendary heroes who were destined to save the world. But there was a problem. The first hero was always happy, but suffered from chronic fatigue. The second was gifted with infinite knowledge, but couldn't walk for herself. The third was the most beautiful and talented and brave, yet he silently crippled with low self esteem. And the last hero was the most gentle soul, but everyone feared her. They aren't what the prophecy said, but they were what the world had and the four did their best."

Roman likes this story so far. It sounded nice. He saw Valerie smiling too. It was nice to see her smile. It was just a short while, but Roman missed seeing a smile on her rose red lips. She was so gorgeous when she smiled, and her happiness was the most important/beautiful thing in the world.

"The first hero would work themself to near death trying their best to make everyone feel better within the group. The third would always do his best to appear to be the hero everyone expects, but he believes isn't him. The second would try her very best to walk because she knows she should be able but just can't. The fourth would try to make new friends, but everyone always runs away from her. No matter what they did, the people of their country were disappointed in them and were expecting certain doom."

Roman frowned, not liking that addition very much.

"But when the evil sorcerer attacked the country, he underestimated the heroes because of their defects that he forgot all about their talents. The first hero had converted his entire army. The second hero could see every fault in his plan and knew all his weaknesses. The third hero was strong enough to fight him head on. The fourth hero cared for those who surrendered, showing compassion to the soldiers that the sorcerer neglected. They saved three the world by being themselves and focusing on their strengths rather than their weaknesses. The four then happily joined forces and united their country once again. The entire country rejoiced their amazing heroes from the prophecy, accepting their hero's fully for who they are."

Awwww! That story was so adorable! Roman absolutely adored it! Roman grinned and Patton had done his job. He had made the entire party feel better by sharing the story. His smile made Roman's smile be extra smiley. Valerie was also grinning like an idiot too, taking the story to heart. Even Logan was smiling a little bit. Roman had never felt more appreciation and romantic/platonic attraction towards him.

"My Mama, the Queen, told me that story. It always made me happy when I listened to it."

Roamn paused to think after hearing that. The pronouns were different, but those four characters all relate to the four here now. The entire Serendipity royalty bloodline has Been cursed with myalgic encephalomyelitis, otherwise known as chronic fatigue. Logan's Devine weapon was infinite knowledge before it became defective for some reason. Roman did have cripplingly low self esteem after everything he went through, especially since he is literally nothing but a disappointment to what his kingdom used to be. The fourth hero should be the Transylvania crown monarch they haven't met yet, and could easily be them, but Roman thought of Valerie instantly. She was intimidating, scary, and a maid nobody messed with. But when you get to know her, she's the kindest and most gentle soul you will ever meet. Maybe... maybe that story was an Oracle from Queen Brittney of Serendipity? It put the fantasy-dependent former prince at ease.

"It's a pleasant story, Crown Prince Patton of Serendipity. As is clear to see, you have done your task and put the Romanian and the Dolan at ease."

Aaaaand Logan ruined it. Valerie frowned again and the group was frowned in silence for the rest of the journey to Transylvania.
