Roman fixed his sash that's across his body before walking into the royal court room. Queen Brittney's, Logan's, and even Virgil's royal court would be waiting for him. The boarders have been redrawn and Rome's reconstruction as already underway, as well as a part of the new Transylvania and the new Serendipity. Galactica and Transylvania both boarder the west coast, but it is mostly Galactica. Every country is about equal in square kilometers, and only Transylvania stretches from both coasts for Virgil asked for a thinner, longer stretch of land for their kingdom.

Roman is now the King of the new Rome. He had refused to rename it, however what he had done is request that there be an entire second wing of the castle to be themed around green and black in contrast to Rome's traditional colors of red and white. Roman encountered Jamahl on his way to the throne room, an aquaintence of both Virgil and Patton. He had stopped the healing bard in the corridor, having a secret mission for him and his wife Derionna. Jamahl was quite taller than Roman, but that didn't matter.

"How is the treatment? Is anything working."

"I'm so sorry, your highness, but I have told you a million times that I cannot revive the dead. Those two people you brought to me have been killed by a magic that I have no idea how to reverse and it impacted their hearts. No amount of ballads or songs or spells can revive them now."

Roman lowered his head, continuing to move along the corridor. So there truly was no way to reverse what he had done, was there? No matter. What he had done was for the greater good. Nobody needed to know. Roman came across a turn in which Valerie and Joan were waiting for him, leaning against the wall. Roman grinned. It was just like old times, wasn't it? Before the war of the East Coast. Valerie was smiling and so was Joan. It was almost as if nothing had ever happened. Oh how Roman wished nothing had ever happened.

"Wazzup Mista King of Rome? You ready for your coordination? Because your marriage will be a few months afterwards! You gotta be excited!"

The celebration that the entire royal court of the Quattour Regna Alliance had come to discuss was Roman's coordination. The people needed to recongnize and approve him as the king. After the war that was a principle he and Patton both fought for within the rebranded Alliance. They had won, and Patton proposed to him shortly after. His entire life was falling into place at seventeen years old, going on eighteen in a few dozen moons. Valerie lightly punched his shoulder half-jokingly.

"That means you'll have a husband to watch over you, meaning I can finally catch a break."

"Oh come now, Valerie. You know you could never leave Joan and I alone for too long. You love us far too much~"

She laughed and rolled her eyes, Joan sharing a high five with Roman. They both waved goodbye, having their own tasks to attend to with rebuilding the castle and the entire kingdom. Roman continued down the corridor to get to a very similar pair of large double doors where everything went to hell. Well, after the coast was attacked. He remembered being slapped, Valerie yelling at his father, and being revoked of his royal status. But that didn't matter because he was getting it right back. With a deep inhale, he opened the door.

Queen Brittney and Talyn were over to the left while Logan on his lonesome was off to the right with Virgil and Dahlia. Patton was standing at the head of the room with a proud smile, holding the Granate Rubí in his hands. It was clearly too heavy for him, so he used the floor to help him carry its weight.

Roman walked up to the altar, kneeling down. Patton used all his energy to bestow Roman with the sword he had already wielded, but now symbolic of the fact he is king. Roman stood up and turned to the royal court, Patton sneakily slipping his hand into Roman's. Roman now had a speech to deliver

"From now on the Quattour Regna Alliance will recongnize a new moral code. From now on monarch shall be affirmed by the people so none shall feel alienated and none shall feel like our leadership is unfair. I vow on my life as the king of the new Rome to be considerate and kind to my people and to bring them into lives of prosperity and bliss. I will out all my energy into atoning for the sins of both my bloodline and myself, and I vow my life to my people and the entire continent. From now on, an era of peace and acceptance will envelop this land for the greater good. I want to thank the entire royal court and the entire population for allowing me to give myself and create a place where everyone can be happy and where every voice shall be heard. I am gracious for the support everyone has given me and the several chances I have been given to become a stronger person. I will use every resource, every experience, and every advantage I have to make this continent a better place for everyone to live on."

A small applause was given to Roman from the court, scribes jotting down every single word he said and ready to give them to the press for the people to read and grow inspired from. The court disbanded. Patton gave him a quick and loving kiss on the lips before leaving to talk to his mother and younger sibling. Roman was left all alone in the court room. That's when they both appeared, the ghosts that are now bound to his conscious.

"What a wonderful speach, brother. But do you really think you can atone for killing me and the love of my life? You know we are going to plague you for the rest of yours... right?"

Roman sighed, remosefully sitting on the steps he was just given the title king upon.

"There's no amount of atonement I can do to relieve me of the sin I had comitted. I killed my own brother and I had killed a person who was doing everything they could to avenge you. I am a scoundrel and a murderer. Our parents were wrong In throwing you out and attempting to murder you as a baby, but that does not make me any less worthy of my title. Your spirit will forever haunt mine, as will Deceit's, however that is the burden I must bare. At least this way... we can coexist and run the kingdom together. Isn't that right, brother?"

Roman tried to reason with the ghost of Remus while the ghost of the Sorcerer, self-dubbed Deceit, just stood there in silence with their arms crossed. Remus stared at Roman, hatred swirling with something else in their eyes. Roman would extend his hand for a proper hand shake, however Remus was nothing but a ghost. Like Heather Chandler to Veronica after she and JD murdered her. Remus pursed his lips, furrowing his mustache, and looked around the court room. He weakly smiled.

"Yeah, that's an optimistic way to put it. It's still dry and wrinkly as a grandma's ass but it's a good try noneoftheless. Hey Dee Dee? What do you think? Ruling Rome with Roman and living his life with him? Like two elderly parents constantly watching their child? Doesn't that sound fun? You did always say you wanted to have a family one day~"

Remus looked back excitedly at his spouse. They had been wearing two ring made entirely from imagination. Roman found it cute. Deceit still hated Roman for ever hurting Remus and everything he had done, even though most of it wasn't his fault, but slowly they'd had been warming up to him. They saw Hoenn excited Remus was and uncrossed their arms, a small smile overtaking their face.

"As long as you are happy, I am happy."

And there was a happily ever after to this fairy tale, even though Roman had killed them both.
