Stars, that’s confusing. We’re almost done though; there are only two things left to explain.

The first thing is the school for the Children: Academy of the Stars, but most of us call it A of the Stars. Where is it?

Alcatraz.

Kidding, kidding. It’s not on Alcatraz Island, but is in San Francisco. I can’t give you the exact address because it would put every single one of us in danger. I can tell you we’re centrally located for the most part, giving us access to all of San Fran.

If you’ve never been to San Francisco, let me describe it for you: hilly. Most streets have cable cats because it’s so hilly, and we get around the city with those cars.

What is Academy of the Stars? It’s the only school in the world for Children of the Zodiac. Besides normal school subjects, we learn strategy and defense in case the sky should fall. This honestly turns out to be useless, so I think of A of the Stars as a combination of an orphanage and a runaway house that’s shrouded in mystery.

At Academy of the Stars, there are a lot of things no one knows. No one knows when the school was founded or who founded the school. Regardless, there are two leaders of the school now – Orwell and Ella Mae. No one knows either of their signs, but I think it’s safer that way.

The last things to explain are the Shifters.

Zodiac Guardians can give their Children the ability to shift into the figure representing the Child’s sign.

Shifters are extremely rare. Zodiac Guardians don’t often share power, and when they do, the Child dies almost every time.

I know all of this sounds crazy, and it all is. But I assure you, every single word contributes to the series of events beginning to happen.
