Disclaimer- this is not going to be sad but this is an AU so uh there's that I'm like 50% sure someone has done this but if they did I didn't see it, though I have seen AU's like it. Phoenix and Miles are about 19 to 20 years old i guess. anwayy I've been rambling too much so this is an AU where Phoenix runs a small cafe! I really like this idea and wanted to write about it.
Third person POV
Alright so.. They only want extra sugar? Well.. Alright! Who am I to judge them?
Phoenix though alot during the day. Mostly about people's orders. The different types of coffee they ordered, what type of pastry they wanted, things like that. Though, when he took a quick break he noticed how lonley he felt. Of course he was surrounded by people who loved his little shop, but he couldn't help but feel alone. Phoenix always just shook it off and got right back to working.
Now I just bring it to them! I hope they'll like it.
Phoenix walked out from behind the counter and begun walking down the thin walkway that sperated small tables. He looked down for a moment and noticed his shoe was untied. As he was distracted someone ran into him, consiquently knocking the cup of coffee out of his hand and onto the floor underneath a table. Phoenix fell onto the ground and hit his back. The other person fell backwards aswell but didn't fall as hard as Phoenix had.
"Ouch.."
The other person stood up quickly.
"Gah! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you like that."
They reached out their hand as Phoenix looked up. He saw the most beautiful person he had ever laid eyes on. The boy had grey hair and sharp grey eyes. His features were defined. He wore a turtle neck shirt with red verticle stripes on it. He also had black jeans on.
"I-It's okay.."
Phoenix grabbed the others hand and stood up.
"Are you alright? I'm sorry.."
"Yeah! I'll be alright. There's no need to be sorry. It was an accident, yes?"
"Of course! I wouldn't want to run into you on purpose!"
"Then I'm not mad! You didn't mean it."
"Alright.. Thanks for understanding."
"Don't mention it!"
Phoenix realized he had dropped the coffee he was bringing to a customer.
"Crap! The coffee will stain the flooring!" Phoenix ran behind the counter and grabbed a mop. He quickly made his was back and started cleaning up the coffee spill. He noticed the boy had walked off. The grey haired boy quickly came back with a few napkins.
"Your nose is bleeding."
He held out the napkins for Phoenix to take. Phoenix brought his fingers to his upper lip and felt a warm liquid. He looked to the boy and politely grabbed the napkins.
"Thanks.. I hadn't noticed"
"It's no problem. I'll clean up the spill for you."
"R-Really? You don't have to!"
"Nonsense. I caused the mess so I'll clean it up. You should sit down until the bleeding stops."
"R-right.."
How nice..
"Hey.. I never got your name."
"My name's Miles."
"Nice to meet you Miles! I'm Phoenix!"
"Phoenix, huh? Nice to meet you too."
"You look young.. are you in school?"
"Yeah actually. I go to a university near here."
"Woah, really?"
"Yep."
"I don't go to school anymore.. I took up this cafe after my father!"
"Really now? You'll have to tell me more about that sometime."
"I will if you'd like! Have you ever been here before?"
"To this cafe? No. Someone recommended this place to me about a week ago and I finally got the time to come here."
Miles finished moping up the coffee.
"Where you you like me to put this?"
"Uhm.. I'll take it. I can put it behind the counter."
Phoenix grabbed the mop from Miles and walked behind the counter. He placed the mop where it belonged and walked back to where Miles was. Phoenix's nose had stopped bleeding at this point.
"I gotta get back to work.. Sorry, I wish I had the time to talk but Fridays are busy here."
"It's alright. Could you tell me when you're finished with work? I'd love to speak with you more."
"Really?! I finish up here at.. around 6 PM."
"Okay. I'll see if I can drop by when you're done."
"That would mean the world to me! I don't have alot of people to talk to. I'm always kinda busy here. I gotta keep up with alot!"
"Could I get your number? So I can text you if I'm coming here?"
"Uh, sure!"
They extanged phone numbers, Miles ordered a pastry, and made his way back to his university. Phoenix was over the moon that he had found someone to talk to. Running the cafe was hard on Phoenix's social life. Yes he interacted with people all day but he didn't make friends. He just was happy he had one person to talk to.

Eek this was fun to write. I like it and I'll probably add more onto it. Sorry about the lack of posts I've been busy with school and I have a big project coming up so I may not be consistent with my writing
