Today is sunny and yet cloudy. This time the clouds are being outnumbered by solar rays, and everything around me was bright and clear, except me.
Even though the day was sunny, I felt like I am in a dark world, alone.

But, that wasn't gonna change the day. After all, Sunday is still Sunday. This is my only holiday in a week. So,as usual, I woke up late and went to Merrie's Cafe near my home, the place where I first met her. There, I sat in a corner and order coffee and butter cake. There are many people in the shop but no one was alone(except me). Everyone seemed to be having fun(except me). Why? Why am I the only exception?

Normally I wasn't like this. I am with my girlfriend on holidays like this. I drank coffee and wondered for a while...

Back to 2015 when we first met, in Merrie's Cafe,
"Hey, excuse me? Can I sit here? There's no free seat left,"
I asked to a girl sitting in the corner. Well, she said yes.
After that day, I met her again unexpectedly in my company, I was a manager and she was there to apply for a job. Luckily, the company hired her. She was 19 and I was 25 back then. We met every day in work and in cafe on holidays. We shared wonderful stories among other until that day comes...

After one year since we met, in the cafe on a Sunday,
"Sam, I got in!"she said happily.
"What?" I didn't knew what was going on.
"Six months ago, I applied a scholarship to study in London and I got accepted and..."she said and stopped talking as she realized the coming thing.
"What is it?you can tell me" I said.
"It's gonna take 5 years"she said in a deep sad voice
"Oh! I see"
"Go, Clare, this is not a chance you get often, after all it's your dream to become a graduate " I said trying to hide sadness in my voice.
She looked amazed.
"You're not gonna stop me?"
She avoided eye contact with me, looked sad and said in a low tone
"Sam, I don't wanna leave you"
"Me too, Clare, I love you!"
She looked at me with tears gathering in her eyes
"But I want you to go because I want the dream of the only girl I loved to be fulfilled"
"Sam,...."
She couldn't say anymore. I hugged him and she kissed on my cheek.
Then, six days later, she said goodbye and left...

Every since then, I sat alone in this cafe for the past four years. Now, only nine months left for her return. And, I will wait for her, hoping for a happy reunion.
I finished my breakfast and went back home because I didn't want to wonder in this dark world alone. There, I took out my computer from my bag and started working for the next day. Work is the only thing that makes me forget about my surroundings. After all, life without love is dark...
