Chapter 14

Callum is walking in the city center to buy Rayla a gift. He saw Claudia. He remembered when Claudia and Soren betrayed them and walked away.He was so foolish for falling in love with her.He had never thought that he would fall for Rayla. Now, she is his light, his reason to be alive.He wants to offer her a better life.

Unfortunately, Claudia saw him walking down the street and waved at him.

Claudia: Callum, nice to see you again.

Callum: Yeah,me too.

Claudia: Do you want to take a walk with me ?

Callum: I am already taken. I am engaged to Rayla.

Claudia: As friends.

Callum: Oh, sure. How is your father doing ?

Claudia: Thanks to your brother he is alive.

Callum: Yeah, he is kind. He helped his friends instead of betraying them as you did.

Claudia: We didn't have to choose. Our father made us do that. We are sorry.

Callum: I forgive you.

Claudia fell in love with Callum, she wanted to be his princess but Rayla is in his life now. She had to something. She has decided to make Callum love her.

Callum: I gotta go now.

Claudia: Why ? You don't like me, don't you ?

Callum: I already love someone else. I love Rayla.

Callum has returned to the castle. He saw his brother in the throne room.

Ezran: What happened Callum ?

Callum: Claudia loves me now and I am engaged to Rayla.

Ezran: Look, I don't know much about love but if you love Rayla stay with her. If you want to be with Claudia, be with Claudia. Please, just don't hurt Rayla.

Callum: I love Rayla more than everything in the world, Ez, I am not going to hurt her.

Ezran: Yeah, I know. I was just messing with you.

Claudia learned a spell that could give Callum to her. She killed an innocent animal to make that powerful spell, after that she chanted the spell. Callum was feeling dizzy.

Ezran: Are you ok ?

Callum: I am fine Ezran. If I remember I am the older brother, not you.

Ezran: Why are you acting so weird ?

Callum: Ezran, I've never been in love with Rayla. To be honest I don't care about you and I never did.

Ezran; What ?

Rayla: Callum ? Are you ok ?

Callum: You can forget about the marriage. I don't love you. I love Claudia.

Rayla: *through tears* What ? I love you Calum. You love me too. I know it .

Callum: Don't you get it ? I didn't love you.

Ezran: What happened to you ?

Callum: I am fine, Your Highness. If you are so stressed about being a king why won't you quit and run away like you always do ?

Ezran:* holding back tears* I can't believe you said that. * leaves crying*

Rayla: There is a difference between insulting me and insulting your little brother. What's gotten into you, my love ? Tell me how can I help you ?

Callum: Run Rayla, and never come back if you want to live.

Rayla: Ok, I will leave. I guess that's the end of our love story ?

Callum: Yes.

Rayla walked away from Callum. She went to Ezran's room  to say him goodbye.

Rayla:*crying* Ez, I've come to tell you goodbye. I have to leave.

Ezran: You don't need to leave. I don't want to alone . Stay with me . You are like a mother to me.

Rayla: I know, sweetie. But if I stay and Callum figures it out ?

Ezran: I will blame myself. Please.

Rayla kneeled down. The pain that she was going through was unbearable. Her heart was broken. She felt miserable. Her tears were slinding down her cheek. Ezran hugged her, telling her that everything will be alright. Meanwhile Callum was hurting. His head was messed up. A lots of thoughts were drivinf him crazy. Claudia walked to him and kissed him.He pushed her away.The spell was broken.

Callum: What did you do to me ? Did you put a spell on me ?

Claudia: Yes.

Callum: I can't believe this. I am going to Rayla. I hope that I didn't cause to much damage on her. 

Ezran carried Rayla to her room,placing her in the bed. She was tired from crying.

Ezran: Callum, what are you doing here ?

Callum: What did I do ? Did I hurt her ?

Ezran: Yes, you have no idea how she felt. How I felt.

Callum: I am so sorry, I wasn't myself. Claudia put a spell on me.

Ezran: I understand, I amglad that you are fine now .

Callum was feeling awful for what he did to Rayla. He went into the woods to collect moonberries. He made juice from them and ordered a moonberry pie. He placed a blanket on the gras. The dark blue sky was filled with stars. The clouds were like cotton candy. Rayla went into the woods to clear up her mind and suddenly she stopped. She saw the love of her life right in front of her.

Callum: I am sorry, Rayla. I know that I wasn't myself today but Claudia made a spell on me. I love you and I want to marry you. You are the most important person in my life now. I can't wait to see you in a bride dress.

Rayla: I forgive you. It wasn't your fault.

Callum kissed Rayla and she kissed back. They were so happy that they are a couple again.

Ezran sent Claudia back to her mother and told her to never come again.
