Once we got back to the Black Pearl, I go to the Captain's Quarters to cool down a bit because I'm still mad at Jack. I love him, but I kind of feel betrayed. But I know I can get past it because I love him too much. I hear someone come in and I turn around and see that it's Will. He looks at me for a moment before speaking.

"Maria, why didn't you tell me?" He asks.

"I guess I was too ashamed."

"Why didn't you trust me enough to tell me?"

"I don't know," I say sadly.

"How long ago was it?"

"About two years ago. When I was first engaged to him."

"I remember asking you about a bruise on your face and you told me that Beckett hit you. Was that about the time that he raped you?" He asks coming up to me with worry in his eyes.

"Yes," I sob, and he pulls me into a much-needed hug. "I tried to stop him, but he was a lot stronger than me."

"It's okay. It's okay. I'm here," he says softly stroking my hair softly. "Maria, I wouldn't have betrayed you if I had known this," he says sadly.

"It's okay. I understand why you did it. You wanted to free your father," I say wiping away my tears.

"Yeah," he says quietly with sadness in his voice.

"I still remember what he told me."

"What?"

"You will learn to enjoy it. And just when we were negotiating, I whispered to him. And you know what I said," I say with amusement.

"What? What did you say?"

"I said that I did learn to enjoy it, but not by his hands." Will looks at me wide eyed.

"Did you and Jack..." I look down and chuckle nervously. "Oh, you naughty girl," he says in amusement and we both burst out laughing. Then suddenly Elizabeth bursts into the room.

"Guys, you're not going to like this," she says.

Will and I exchange a look of worry before following her out the door. We walk on deck to see Tia Dalma being led from the brig and up onto the deck, bound with ropes from head to toe. Pintel, Ragetti, Marty, Cotton, and some other crew member I don't remember the name of holding the ends of the ropes tightly. Tia looked angry.

"All right, Mrs. Fish. Come on," Pintel says.

"Barbossa, you can't release her," Will says and then guns were pointed at him.

"We need to give Jack a chance," I say. Barbossa turns to me.

"I'm sorry, Maria. Too long my fate has been in me own hands," he says. He took my nine pieces of eight that Sao Feng gave to me in his hand. "No longer," he says. "I'm sorry," he whispers and tugs it off my neck.

Pintel held the wooden bowl with the nine pieces of eight in front of Tia. Barbossa puts Jack's and Sao Feng's pieces of eight into the bowl.

"Be there some manner of rite or incantation?" Gibbs asks.

"Aye," Barbossa says as he looks around at everyone. "The items brought together, done," he says waving his hands over the bowl. "Items to be burned," he says as Ragetti hands him a torch and Gibbs puts oil into the bowl. "And someone must speak the words: Calypso, I release you from your human bonds," he says far too seriously.

"Is that it?" Pintel asks.

"Tis said it must be spoken as if to a lover," Barbossa says, and the crew gave an 'ooh' of approval. I roll my eyes at him. I just hope he can do this because I knew he loved my mother. "Calypso," He yells raising the torch. "I release you from your human bonds!" He says factually. He lowers the torch to the bowl, but nothing happens. Tia looks at it in annoyance, the attempt failed. I roll my eyes at him.
