I jump down from the edge, and both Elizabeth and Will come up to me.

"That was a great speech, Maria. You really are a great king," Elizabeth says.

"Thank you," I say and then look at Will. He had sadness and regret in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Maria. I really am," Will says sadly.

"I know. I forgive you," I say and then look at Elizabeth. "Both of you... I love you, guys," I say pulling them into a hug. They both return the hug chuckling.

All of the sudden it started to rain. I break from Will and Elizabeth and run behind the deck. Elizabeth and Will came running up to me.

"Maria, what's wrong?" Elizabeth asks.

"Nothing, just... Just give me a minute," I say. They both nod and walk away.

"Have you noticed, on top of everything. It's raining," Pintel complains.

"That's a bad sign," Ragetti replies.

"Man the capstan! Raise the main topyard! Keep that powder dry!" Gibbs shouts.

I close my eyes and drown out all the noise.

"Tia Dalma... Calypso. What should I do...? Please... I need your help," I ask mentally.

"Remember what Daphne told you?" A voice in my head says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Do you remember when you first found out you were a mermaid?"

"Yeah."

"Do you remember what Daphne told you?"

I thought long and hard and try to remember what Daphne told me and then I heard her voice in my head. "We find it easy to control water. It's a gift that we are given." Then it hit me.

"Control," I say as I open my eyes.

"There you got it. Now you know what to do."

I close my eyes again and start to think on how I'm going to control the water. Then I thought of the only thing that can help; I will only turn when I'm under the water and not in the rain.

"Maelstrom!" Gibbs suddenly shouts which brings me out of my trance.

I run up to Will and Elizabeth. I look behind them and see Captain Barbossa, my father.

"Father! We need you at the helm!" I shout. He looks at me with a grin.

"Aye, that be true," he says and ran over to the helm and shoves Cotton out of the way. "Brace up yards, you cack-handed deck apes! Dying is the day worth living for!" He shouts as he maneuvers the Pearl through the rough sea.

Will watches as the Dutchman came at us.

"She's on our stern and gaining!" He shouts to Barbossa.

"More speed! Haul your wind and hold your water!" Barbossa demands.

The Dutchman was getting close. Will ran up to Barbossa as cannon fire peppers the ship.

"Take us out or they'll overbear us!" He shouts over the storm.

"Nay. Further in. We'll cut across to faster waters," he says and turns the wheel as far left as it would go.

I felt the ship pick up speed. I turn to Elizabeth, and she nods at me.

"Prepare to broadside!" I scream.

The Dutchman follows us, still firing at us.

"Captain the guns. Bear a hand," Gibbs shouts.

"Muster your courage, men! At the ready!" Will shouts at the crew.

They load the cannons and ready the gun powder, hopefully they were dry enough.

I was standing next to Barbossa at the helm. He looks at me and nods.

"FIRE!" I scream.

"FIRE!" Will echoes.

"FIRE ALL!" Elizabeth repeats.

I watch as the cannons release and the Dutchman return fire. Barbossa keeps the ship steady as we went.

"It be too late to alter course now, mateys," Barbossa shouts at the crew then laughs loudly.

I smile as the cannons empty again.
