Olivia woke up early in the morning and stretched as she looked around her room. The eighteen year old senior got up and walked out of her room and went over to the shower, quickly got undressed and went in to wash herself, preparing for the final few weeks at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. It's Six A.M, having to be at the school before the first bell at 8:40.
She stepped out of the shower and quickly dried off before going back to her room quickly with the green towel wrapped around her, throwing on another pair of shorts that stopped at her mid thigh, a blue shirt with her red sweatshirt and the same pair of slip ons. She quickly grabbed a bagel and ate it before going back into the bathroom to brush her teeth.
After she finished everything she went to the front door with her bag and walked out, going into the elevator and into the lobby, the same African American man sat with a newspaper.
"Hey George" Olivia said as she walked by.
"Morning Kid" George said as he flipped the page in the paper.
"Everything alright?" Olivia asked.
"The wife is mad, mad at the kid, last thing I need her to find out is that I forgot to hand the laundry." George replied with a smile.
"I hope everything works out for you" Olivia said with a smile.
"I hope so too" he responded.
Olivia turned and walked through the front entrance of the apartment building and made her way to her High School. She walked, looking at her watch to see it was 7am.
"Man, time flies" she said as she put her arm back down by her side. She walked by another apartment building for one of her friends to join.
Her friend was a short black haired Hispanic, she stood by her friends no matter what. She had on a pair of running shoes, white no show socks, skinny jeans, a black button down shirt and glasses.
"Never thought I'd see you get up this early Isabella" Olivia said with her arms crossed and a smile.
"It's my mother, she woke me up because she thinks I have a test today." Isabella said.
"But....there isn't a test today. Why does she think that?" Olivia asked.
"Same reason she thought moving to New York would be good, to not be a failure or something to that effect, I honestly stopped listening" Isabella responded.
"Well that certainly does sound like something she would do, no offense" Olivia said.
"None taken, just wish this year can end so I can move out" Isabella said as she put her hands behind her head and walked.
The two walked down the street, getting closer to the school until finally they made it. They walked in and sat down.
"Why do we have to get up so friggin early?" Isabella asked.
"Because we're girls and we want our hair to be all nice and pretty." Olivia sarcastically replied.
"Oh haha, you're so funny.....have any gum?" Isabella asked.
"No, you friggin took all of my pieces" Olivia responded.
"Damn, I wanted something minty in my mouth, now I have to wait to go to that one store down the road" Isabella said.
Meanwhile a group of guys stood by lockers, talking about a plan.
"You guys ready for our senior prank?" The tallest man said, he's white with brown hair, he's very muscular and is wearing jeans.
"I have the air horns" one man said.
"I have the spray paint and the cardboard at my house" another one said.
The tall man looked at the shorter one with the spray paint and cardboard.
"Please don't get your sister involved Richard, last time we brought her she ratted us out to the friggin cops" the tall one said.
"Doesn't help your father is the captain of the NYPD Precinct in the upper east side, is he still mad about last time Dave?" Richard asked.
"Of course he is, I finally got my car back after two months without it" Dave responded.
The bell rang, alerting all of the students to get to their classes.
"I'll see you at lunch Isabella" Olivia said.
