The group moved towards the back of the school, though it had to be a small detour because of the dog's behavior towards one of the corridors. All of them were sweating bullets as they walked, all that could be heard was the sound of their footsteps and the chain on the dog's neck.
"What could have locked the door up?" Dave asked as he kept walking.
"What if it was the cops, don't they have a torch thing that melts a door together?" Richard asked.
"Nah, if they used that then why is it on our side of the door? Besides, it wouldn't be glowing like that, it normally goes away after a few seconds" Dave said as the girls followed behind them.
"So, what were you three doing here?" Olivia asked.
"Think of it as an early senior prank, we don't like them, so we wanted some fun." Will said in response.
"Ah....I see." Olivia then remained silent after that. They all continued walking as they heard metal being thrown in front. Dave shined his light in the direction, but there was nothing. The dog began barking out of control as it pulled on its leash hard, showing teeth and looking for a fight.
"Take it easy you friggin dog!" Will said as he pulled on the leash. The Dog continued barking as it pulled, then stopping. The dog then turned around and started barking behind them, once again bearing teeth and looking for a fight.
"Will you stop that!" Will said as he pulled on the leash one last time. The dog then curved around and bit down on Will's hand, making him let go of the leash. The dog ran towards where it was facing before making a turn down a hall.
"No! Damn dog!" Will ran after the dog quickly.
Meanwhile the NYPD all sat around collecting calls and doing whatever was in their power to figure out what caused the massacre down in subway.
"This....this is a friggin nightmare, my kid is missing and we have what looks like a scene from Hellboy 2 down in the subway!" The captain of the police said.
"Why don't you try and take a rest?" The one officer said as he gave the captain a mug of coffee.
"I can't, not with my kid out there, the wife tells me he leaves to go to Richard's house, turns out she doesn't even know where they are at well. I'm up a creek without a paddle right now" The captain said as he put a sugar cube in his coffee and a little bit of cream.
"I don't know what it's like....but I'm pretty sure your kid is safe, after all, he is yours" the officer said.
One of the officers ran into the office in a sweat.
"Good god man! What is wrong with you?" The captain asked the officer who just ran in.
"Silent alarm at the High School went off, we need to get over there quickly!" The officer said. The captain quickly stood up and put in his hat.
"Gather as many as you can, let's get going!" The captain said as he walked out of his office as a few officers followed his lead.
