So sorry for taking so long to update this (and the rest of my books for that matter). Please forgive! And please give criticism of this since it is only the second chapter and I wasn't really sure that this was that good as I'm about to press the "publish" button.

(Y/N) POV

Veronica: It doesn't sound like your first day was all that bad.

Veronica spoke to him from over the phone.

(Y/N): It wasn't.

He assured her.

(Y/N): For the most part. I met some cool people.

Veronica: You aren't trying to replace me, are you?

She sounded like she was pouting a bit, but she was just joking, to which (Y/N) chuckled back at her.

(Y/N): Of course not. I'll be waiting for you when you get here in a few years.

Veronica: Good! Or else I'd have to have Liz beat you up again.

Liz was a good "friend" of (Y/N)'s for a long time. Their moms were friends so they usually would set playdates up for them, the only problem being that Liz seemed to have more fun messing with him than she did getting along with them. He didn't dislike her, but he was always confused one where the two of them stood. They were clearly friends by how they'd always hang out, but she would be willing to break him like a toothpick in a heartbeat. She was even the one that introduced (Y/N) to Veronica.

(Y/N): Please, cod, no. Hey, how come she isn't chatting on the server with us anyways?

Veronica: She has to go to bed early on school nights, remember?

(Y/N): Oh, right. Well, at least you have someone to protect you until you both get in high school two years from now.

Veronica: Yeah, but anyway, tell me about the people you met to keep you company until then.

(Y/N): Well, first, there were these two nice girls, I think they're cousins or sisters, I don't know, but I actually met them first by accidentally bumping into them in the halls.

Veronica: Geez, that's how you hit on women?

(Y/N): I WASN'T HITTING ON THEM! I was rushing to class and bumped into them.

Veronica: Good, I don't need to hear you getting in trouble at school, young man.

(Y/N): You're not my mom.

Veronica: No back talking, mister!

He chuckled.

(Y/N): Alright, alright. Anyways, the first person I met today actually was this nice girl Marina. She sat next to me on the bus and we talked a bit. Turns out she just moved here this year so it was all new to her. We had a couple classes together actually.

Veronica: Ooh, did you get her number? I want to see a picture of her.

(Y/N): I don't have any pictures of her and I don't have he- Aw dangit! I was supposed to ask her for her phone number; that's what I forgot.

Veronica: Ugh, you're hopeless, (Y/N). By this point, you're going to end up alone and I'm going to have to take care of you myself.

(Y/N): Hey! I wasn't trying to get her number in that way. But she's a nice girl and we got along well, so I just wanted to be able to talk to her.

Veronica giggled; she loved messing with him.

(Y/N): But there was this one class her and I had together and we're stuck sitting at a lab table with this one senior girl who has like piercings all over her face and stuff; I don't know how they don't yell at her for not following the school uniform policy by wearing them. I think she even growled at me once.
