The fields of sugarcane were now far gone, we were in a bus going to the nearest train station. It was the best option we had to reach Varanasi. However someone was chasing us, a really giant monster. It was on foot but still it had quite the speed. He looked really ugly thought, face as if someone had smashed him on rocks, bear body only wearing shorts like toga. Than i noticed it's giant feets. He had talons instead of nails. In his hand was battle axe, broken but still i knew it could kill us. We knew he'll catch the bus and once he does all these people will be in danger too. I didn't know how none of them seem to notice that a 40 feet raksha is chasing them. Suddenly the raksha threw his axe, maybe got tired of running. It didn't hit the bus luckily but it caught the attention of people on bus. I didn't know what they saw but they were in panic. So they did the most usual thing and starred getting out of bus which now had stopped. We were still quite far from any city. We got out of the bus.
"We need to distract him, we don't need any mortals to die" Trijya said "I'll get his attention, you two attack from sides".
We did as she said, she was continuously firing arrows at the giant. It only got him angry, he started yawning or at least that's what it looked like but than he started breathing fire. Trijya was fast but it still got most of her. It would have been enough to kill any mortal, but Trijya being daughter of sun God survived it, she still was in no shape to fight. Rashi however was chanting something to her bow.
An arrow appeared, as it always do. From nothing as the reality itself shits and forms our weapons. It was white and cold. Maybe it was made of ice, but i didn't think that would make a good Arrow. I on the other hand was firing our normal arrows. Trying to distract him from both Rashi and Trijya. He started to yawn, but this time i knew what he's doing so started running in his direction, it was easy just slipping from between it's legs. While Rashi's arrow flew and hit it in one ear and piercing through his brain got out from another ear. Or maybe he didn't really had a brain, who knows. "Nice shot, Rashi" i said.
She still looked worried but than the monster disintegrated. We both ran towards Trijya, she was sitting but still looked hurt. I had a bottle of Somras the godly drink with me. I gave it to her. "I should have known, I've read about it." She looked puzzled " i should have known he'll breath fire" she sounded disappointed in herself.
"Come on now, you can't do everything, right" Rashi said " give a time to shine little Rashi too"
Trijya gave her a look like you-always-know-how-to-make-me-feel-better.
We kind of didn't want to ruin another bus so we took a lift from a trucker. Which was the most common vehicle here. The guy was quite friendly and was heading to Amritsar to sell some goods. We didn't mind Amritsar. We could easily catch train from there. The trucker driver had some songs playing, bollywood songs. Most which I've heard when i used watch movies with my mom. I was all good here, mom had explained everything but i still missed her. I just wanted to leave everything and go back to her, but i knew what she would say. " It's your destiny, you were born for it, to be a hero". I didn't really realize that Amritsar wasn't far because we reached there in about two hours. We thanked the driver and started to get to the station.
If you've never been to train station in India, spacially in a big city. I should tell you they're really crowded. It took us about half an hour to buy tickets. The train to Varanasi was in two hours, which of course gave a palmy of time here. As we were all hungry we got out of the station and went to the nearest restaurant.
"Why me?" I asked not to anyone but to both.
They seem to understand what i was saying, why send me on a quest when there were so many other demigods at Gurukul.
"I don't know but I guess it's somehow related to you, gods know fates, not the entire future but still they know things and they only choose those who are actually connected to it somehow" Trijya said but her answer didn't even satisfy herself.
" The Trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv. The rearly have kids right, you told me that the more powerful the God the less children they have" I said. " Yes, to many powerful demigods and it might all be too overwhelming, that much power shouldn't be there. Unless it's needed." She said it confidentially.
"Is there any child of Vishnu?" I asked.
I didn't had any of these questions before I started the quest. They were unnecessary but now here i wanted to know more, more about gods and other Demigods.
" Not any that we know of, it's unlikely thought. Vishnu is quite different, he rearly have any children, rare than anyone. Because he has avatar"
I knew about his avatars, they're kind of his incarnations. They only were born to save the world from evil. Like Ram or Krishna.
"His Avtars have children" she continued "there's a boy named Parag, he's son of Krishna, you didn't meet him because he is also on a quest right now or at least that's what we think " her eyes darkened.
"He's still alive don't worry, maybe just couldn't connect us" Rashi said getting her arm around Trijya.
No one talked after that, we finished our food and were going back to station but my eyes felt heavy, i looked at both of them, we all knew we had been drugged in food. There was something in it. I tried to fight it. Tried to open my eyes but darkness slammed into me and i blacked out.
