We were running as he had said, I didn't know why but I think we all got the feeling that this guy was running from a monster. He was a 15-year-old guy with dark skin tone and dressed in a really colourful outfit. A rainbow-coloured t-shirt and a purple pant which looked so tight that you might wonder how the guy is even running.
"Who are you?" I asked still running
"Gopal but friends call me Bihari," he said looking at me.
"Why are we running?"
"So we don't get eaten by angry girls doing voodoo" I didn't want to get eaten so I kept running.
"So witches are after you?" Trijya asked
"Yeah, whatever they're, " he said
"Hey stop!" Trijya said "why are we running? We came here to meet the witches"
"Seriously, I thought only I'm the mad one but if you came here to meet them, I certainly have a competitor," Bihari said
"I have an idea," Trijya said more enthusiastically than anyone could in this situation.
We were on the shore of Ganga with Bihari and we have made a trap to catch the witches. The plan was to lure them here keeping Bihari as bait which he wasn't really happy about. And push them in the river, it's a sacred river so we were sure any witch won't be able to escape.
After about 10 minutes three girls came running at us, they looked like I've stolen their food and they were Joey, though I was pretty sure we gad actually stolen their food. All three wore sportswear, they looked in their mid 20's but the thing that gave out that they were witches was their feet. All of them had feets turned at a 180° angel.
The first step was completed now we only needed to push them in the river, ask our questions and leave. Of course, everything went wrong.
They overpowered us in seconds all three of us were on the ground, our weapons were thrown into the River. I was shivering, I had not told anyone about why I feared the witches so much but now that I was encountering them I was frightened to death. I did not know what to do, my senses were not working properly.
I tried to summon Pinak my bow but could not concentrate, my battle axe was still st the bottom of the River.
The witches didn't say a word, Rashi was throwing insults at them to get their attention off that boy. One of the girls hurled him over her shoulder like a meat bag and started leaving. Trijya looked as if life had been sucked out of her. I knew what she was feeling, she had promised the boy that she'll not let him get hurt.
We were all wounded but still, Rashi somehow managed to get up and threw a knife at that witch, the one carrying Bihari. It hit her on the nack but was blacked by her long tied hair, she started screaming, the witches scream was so vicious yet painful even mortals started to panic and run.
She fell there lifeless while Rashi said" I was hoping the myth is true" Trijya looked at her in surprise.
"A witches life is in her hair, of course. I should have known that"
The other two witches were now coming at us.
" You have killed one of our kind, now face the consequences," one of them said. Her voice sounded like an old women's still vicious as was the one"s who died.
She held Rashi by nack while the other held me and Trijya from doing anything. She picked up a big boulder about the size of a car and tied it to Rashi then threw it in the River.
"Now die a long death," she said and started laughing.
We all knew what was coming, as a wave came from the River Ganga and sprayed everyone with the Holy waters of it. The witches screamed and we felt a surge of energy. I asked them now the fear inside me overthrown by power and urgency.
"How do we free the Goddess, I Ashoka the Son of Shiva ask you"
I was still a little surprised when she answered
"No one can free her Shivansh, she is guarded by Tadkasur , no one can win against him"
"Isn't he supposed to die from a Child of Shiva? " Rashi asked
The witch started laughing and while she was telling me this the other one had cast some spell with which both witches vanished leaving Bihari there.
