Have you ever experienced death? Had the cold lifeless grasp of death clench around your throat? Probably not right because if u did how could you be reading this? Well I hadn't either not until this evening, that is. Well every good story has a beginning so this is my beginning, the beginning of the end.

I woke up that one spring morning. I rolled out of bed to the sound of my alarm clock, beep beep beep I hit snooze then I checked the time it was almost 7:30 am school starts at 8 I was going to be late! i went down stairs and greeted my mother. She was cooking some eggs

"hey, mom," I say

"Hey Taichi" she says in response

"I'm late" I say "so I got to go sorry."

"Hey Taichi u can't skip breakfast." my sister says

"I'm sorry, I got to go I'm late." I say as I walk out the door.

I start walking to school, i go down my usual path but i hasten my speed, i got here in the nick of time. I'm about to walk into school when I'm greeted by my best friend Hayato.

"Hey man" he says

"Hey" I say in response.

we walk into school together, and I go to my first period English and go throughout my day as usual when I'm the last one in the class room and its getting pretty late, my other friend Haruno walks in.

she then says "hey, Taichi"

i respond with "hey, whats up" then she asks me if I can help her clean up the classroom with her because the other classmates ditched their duties.

So I say "sure"

Being the nice friend I am. So I help her clean the classroom and its getting really late, its pretty much dark out at this point.

so I say "I'm heading home, stay safe"

then she says "thanks, i will"

little did I know I should have taken my own advice. I started walking home and I'm quite tired at this point, i start walking as the cross walk turned green, when all of a sudden I see something to snap me right out of it. I see a drunk driver barreling down the road at high speed coming right at me! before I knew what had happened, I got hit. Im very cold i thought, and i couldn't move my arms or legs, i couldn't feel the pain, im pretty sure that was adrenaline, but either way, i can tell im pretty fucked up from the blood pooling up under me. I started thinking about how sad my family would be hearing their son had died in a car crash, then I felt an immense warmth for a split second, as my vision blurred then... nothing.
