Chapter 7: The Dragon Slayer Ryuko

Once I awoke I found myself in yet another strange location. I honestly thought I died again but I still had the leather tunic from before and all the 5 copper 8 silver and 3 gold because in all the commotion I didn't get my refund I was pretty mad but then I looked around and realized that was the least of my problems. I got up and looked around it looked like a forest but when I looked closer there was a rock wall around the forest and it had sunlight? No that looks like a shiny ceiling I couldn't see the sky it looked like crystal. All of a sudden I heard a voice. I thought this place had loud speakers or something, but it sounded right next to me so when

I asked "where are you? Show yourself!" sounding quite alarmed and panicked all while trying to act confident

It sounded like a girl she said "I'm communicating to you via telepathy"

"But beside the point, hey there newbie, I heard you came to this world too like the rest of us you know you're the first person to come to this world in 25 years, congrats!"

She sounded excited for me and a little devious at the same time.

She then followed that up with "well if you want to join us, you'll have to clear the dungeon just like the rest of us"

I said "what? Why would I do that?"

She said "I could let you go but the dragon guard that's out for your head probably won't."

I said "wait, what's this dragon guard you're talking about?"

She responded with a snarky attitude "wow you really are clueless aren't you" "the dragon guard is the most elite of elite sent out to cull any blood mage they hear of. Each one of the standard regular dragon guard has a power equivalent of up to 3 knight commanders, so yeah little bit of a threat to us"

that word irked me "us"

"Who is us" I ask

"The people of another world dummy, when you die in one world you're sent to another random "dimension"? I guess you could call it that. So basically years and years ago this dimension had an increase in reincarnation rates of an estimated 60% of all the people die go here."

"It's said that the former demon lord himself sacrificed himself to increase the reincarnation rates and to put a curse on anybody reincarnated here with the power of the devil, he had planned to have his second gather them all here and create a powerful army in his absence."

"Although to their surprise soon after the sacrificial ritual the hero found out the demon lord was dead and so he gathered all the brave men to fight and stormed the castle while it was in this weakened state. That was the end of the demon lord's era and so the blood magic art came to be."

"The blood mage clan was a powerful group of people that lived mostly peacefully, but this clan was known for its strong military might and warriors."

"However when the former hero of this world was on deaths doorstep he summoned a powerful hero to take his place this hero would be named Ryuko"

"Do you know the difference between reincarnation and a summoning?" she asked

I replied with "I have zero clue"

"When you get reincarnated you keep none of the same physical features of your old self except what you look like, it's kind of confusing so here's an example so let's say that you in your old world were a super strong super buff dude who could control things with your mind or something. You eventually die and are reincarnated here you would no longer be super buff and strong nor would you have telekinesis. It would strip you of every power that you have and randomize what you would get if anything at all like you were just born only you keep your memories and your appearance. This is obviously only true on the account that the dimension you were reincarnated to was not cursed and weren't given an ability off the bat"

"now that's different from a summoning because you keep all your abilities this was true in the fact of Ryuko too he was something called a dragon born in his old world they were an extremely strong race in his old world because they had the power to kill dragons and absorb their life energy for power. They also had the power to create dragon pacts which meant they can summon dragons whenever they need and with a little test that even counts through dimensions"

"This made him more powerful than any other person on this planet and then with additional training on top of it he was pretty much unbeatable."

"But this also made him power hungry and he also was heavily influenced by the heroes of the past and of the story he was told about when he was told that his "father" or the last hero brought down the demon lords rule"

"Now by this point the blood mages were "weird" to the public because they used their own blood as weapons and the fact that they were "demon spawn" to the public eye it's safe to say they were quite less than fond of us"

"so when Ryuko heard the rumor that they were a group of savage powerful demons he asked his supervisor one of the heroes associates why they were allowed to roam free he said "...because the hero council announced they were peaceful and had no intention of re summoning the demon lord back to this world, so they were allowed to be free" "he was infuriated by this and thought the council was wrong because his father worked so hard to stop the demon lord and the thought that he could be summoned and ruin all he worked for. He made it his goal to kill every blood mage in existence obviously not knowing that it would not stop people from being reincarnated with this power"

"And so here we are he succeeded in culling them and making blood magic a forbidden art. And were just the lucky people to be reincarnated here after the fact and are forced to suffer with it"
