Chapter 11: Fruit That Kills

I finally open the huge door between the first floor and the second. She said that there will be no serious threats till above level 5 which probably means I'm not going to have to use my blood art and I can most likely get by on my bow alone if I take it slow. But that's not too fun, as well as I need to get better with this ability before I reach level 6 and above anyway so ill use these smaller enemies as training. The second floor wasn't that different from the first floor in the fact that it was a woody area, but the difference was that this was more of a lush jungle than a forest. I was searching for the exit to the third floor when I stumbled upon a strange tree, it was clearly different from the rest because it was thicker and had a bark completely different from the rest it was nothing like any of the other trees around it. I looked up at its many thick branches and saw some fruit hanging from them. I decide it would be a good idea to see if they were edible, so I climbed up to the top and as I went to go pick the fruit it suddenly started moving and all of sudden it opened up into a bat like creature and the rest of them started unfolding as well. They weren't fruit at all they were monsters! I fell from the tree in shock and started running but they didn't chase me. I supposed they were just territorial and not aggressive, I got lucky but I wouldn't be so lucky in the future I needed to be more careful. I didn't realize at the time but as I ran, I landed right at the exit, so I guess I was on to floor 3!
