Chapter 7

It's been a few weeks now since we all moved in. I've settled into my job , well it's actually an internship but it's going great. Daniel and I haven't been talking , just the odd small talk here and there, like the awkward "hi" when we pass each other or "the weather is lovely today" but it was progress as we haven't talked in three years -not even a single word.
Today we are having a party , as a welcome to LA for Gabbie and I and a house warming party all wrapped in one. Many people were coming , everyone's girlfriend , their girlfriends siblings , the boys' siblings and then I also invited Josh. We have been on a couple of dates but we didn't make it official and something tells me tonight is the night.

G- so you'll finally introduce us to Josh?
M- yep
Jo- he better be treating you right
M- trust me , way better than my ex

We hear someone cough at the doorway , we look up to see Daniel.

D- um , I was wondering if there's anything needed for the party?
G- yeah I'm more cups?
D- great! I look buy some

After he leaves , Gabbie and Jonah look at me.

M- I didn't say which ex!
G- you only had one boyfriend and it was him
M- maybe I had someone after him , he doesn't know
Jo- trust me he knows

I look at Jonah and he realises he had said too much , so he stood up and went off with Daniel.

Daniels POV
I am about to start my engine , when I see Jonah run out the house and wave at me to stop. He hops into the seat next to me and smiles.

Jo- so I'm coming too

We have been driving for a bit , talking about a few normal stuff but something was bugging me, something I wanted to get of my chest.

D- she hates me doesn't she?
Jo- no of course not
D- she does
Jo- well you made it that way
D- it was a mistake
Jo- I know

Flashback ~ 3 years ago
I stumble into my brothers apartment where the guys were meeting up to hang out.

Ty- Dani, there you are ?
D- y..yep me here

Tyler walks up to me and straight away he seems to be mad.

Ty- not again Daniel!
D- w..what?

I try to walk past Tyler but end up dripping so he catches me and drags me into the living room, where all the guys are gathered.

Jo- he's drunk again isn't he?

Tyler nods.

C- dude! You need to stop!
D- w..why?
Jo- you broke up with her!
Ty- it's been a whole month too!

Jonah grabs me by my collar and drags me to the bathroom and puts me in a cold bath.

Jo- it's your fault dude but you need to stop
D- b..but I miss her
Jo- she's better off without you

Back to present
D- you were right , she is better off but
Jo- but you regret you did it , well you had your drunken months, you regretted and now that's the past so don't try to fix it , it's over.
D- I guess...
