CHAPTER 26

Hana turned and faced Seojun, she was completely caught off guard with his question. She stared at his face for a few seconds, and not for long, she smiled at him.

"I mean, if Suho does like me, why not?" she answered.

She returned to what she's been doing and scan through the racks. After she got the chips she knew Eunji would like, she faced Seojun once again.

"Why?" she asked him.

"So if he's going to ask you out, you'd say yes?"

"Yeah. It was just hanging out, nothing more. If you're trying to know if I'd give him a chance if he's going to ask me to be his girlfriend,"

The time seemed to slow down on Seojun's perspective. If there's a remote for him to use, he'd like to press pause and press forward, not wanting to hear her answer.

"if Suho is single and if he genuinely likes me like that, then I'd make it my mission to know more about him then maybe, I can decide by then," she tapped Seojun's shoulder, gesturing him to move a little so she can pass.

"What if he'd want an answer right away?" he asked, not moving an inch.

"Like I said, I'd get to know him more."

Seojun moved this time, making Hana pass.

"Let's get that chocolate," she said.

After their short trip to the convenience store, Seojun presented to carry the bag for her.

"Are you being a gentleman now?" she teased.

"Just give me that!" he snatched the bag from her hands.

She chuckled at Seojun's sudden outburst and yet she finds it cute.

"Haseo, tell me," she said as they walk side by side, "do you like Jugyeong?"

Seojun froze, he can't believe those words came out from the mouth of the one he likes and right after he confessed.

"Hm?" she hummed, noticing the person she's with stopped walking.

Hana turned and watched Seojun in complete shock.

"Hey," she called him out.

"It's not Jugyeong who I like, Hana," he uttered.

Hana squinted her eyes, trying to read what he said, it was too low for her to hear.

"What was that?"

"Nothing, it's best for you not to know."

He walked past her, keeping his head down.

Hana jogged toward's him and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Seojun."

But Seojun moved his shoulder causing her hand to fall.

"Is there something wrong? Are you in competition with Suho?" she asked.

But all she got is silence from him.

'Damn it, Hana!'

"Is that why you asked me about Suho? Because both of you like Jugyeong?"

Still, no answer from Seojun.

'Why must you think my confession was a joke?'

"Do you want me to go out with Suho so you can be with Jugyeong?"

Her final question got him, he halted and faced Hana.

'I genuinely like you'

"Seojun..." Hana blinked, Seojun's face changed from calm to mad.

His brows met in between, his eyes squinted a little, his jaw tightened.

She was scared.

"Seojun..."

She blinked.

"Did I say something wrong?"

Her eyes dropped their gaze and landed on Seojun's clenching fist. She gasped. 'What did I do?'

"Hana-ya~" Eunji called her, she was a few feet behind Seojun.

Suho suddenly appeared behind Seojun, tapping his shoulder lightly.

"What took you guys so long?" he asked.

Hana watched Seojun's face get worse.

"Su--"

Before she could tell Suho to back off, it was too late.

Seojun dropped the bag and turned to land a blow on Suho.

"What the hell?" she said, running towards Suho. Eunji did the same.

"What was that for?" Hana yelled at Seojun.

"Han Seojun," Suho glared at the one who punched him as he touched the part where his fist landed, his jaw. "I don't know what happened but is it really necessary for you lash out your anger on me?"

Eunji helped him up.

"Seojun," Hana said, taking a step towards him.

"Take care of her Suho, if you don't, that's not the only thing you'll get from me," he said before taking off.

"Wait, Seojun!" Hana wanted to stop him but Eunji said to leave him be.

"Suho, is there really nothing going on between you two? His jealousy got him this time." Eunji asked Suho.

"What do you mean?" Hana asked.

She felt so left out of what's going on around her. True, she's late on grasping and processing the events involving her friends but she tries to be there and be aware. But this time, she's not sure.

"I don't want this to come from me but, Seojun likes you, Hana," Suho confessed.

"What?" she whispered.

Her mind drifted back to when Seojun told her he likes her.

"But why would he want me to date you?" she asked, confused on what's going on.

"Tell me what exactly happened and I'll tell you if he wanted you to date Suho, or he's just trying to give you hints."

Suho sighed, tugging the hood Hana's wearing, "see, he even let you his hoodie instead of my jacket."

Hana frowned, still confused about what's going on.

"Let's get inside for now," Eunji held Hana's arm and followed Suho inside the building.

"You're really that clueless, Hana?" Suho asked.
