PART 5/13

Y/n POV

I notice my friend. She closes her eyes and opens them to reveal her black ones. I turn back to normal and she pulls me into a hug. Some nurses walk over to us and put us on gurneys. We're soon rolled into the office.

Don't cut me, punch me, just let me go.
Into the nurse's office where I float away.
I'm pale as the loose-leaf paper they grow.
From hollowing out all my lungs in the snow.

Yeah, I'm coughing.
I'm bleeding, Band-Aids won't heal it.
'Cause they hate me, so I'm fakin'.
All, all, all this so they take, take me.

Take me home!
Give me that pink slip of permission.
This is old!
I'm tired of wishing I was ditching.
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh.
Ooh, ooh-ooh.

Teacher, can I sit right there?
This bitch behind me is cutting my hair.
"No, just sit your ass down at the chalkboard and stare."
I faked up a seizure and left outta there.

Yeah, I'm coughing.
I'm bleeding, Band-Aids won't heal it.
'Cause they hate me, so I'm fakin'.
All, all, all this so they take, take me.

Take me home!
Give me that pink slip of permission.

My friend and I run towards the exit. We're not sick, so why are we here?! They catch up to us and strap us back down.

This is old!
I'm tired of wishing I was ditching.
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh.
Ooh, ooh-ooh.

A nurse starts to force me to chug this random liquid. God knows it's not a medicine I need. I begin to laugh, but that soon turns into crying. Everything is so blurry. They connect us to this machine before a woman appears out of nowhere.

Take me home!
Give me that pink slip of permission.
This is old!
I'm tired of wishing I was ditching.
Home!
Old!

She makes all of the nurses pass out before removing the straps. We stare at her. She turns to leave but we run over to her. "Wait!" She looks at us. My friend looks at her. "Why are you leaving us here?" "We need to come with you." I add. The woman smiles. "Continue on, and live your truth. Do not hold fear in your heart." I shake my head. "Please, we don't want to die here." "You've had many bodies before this, and you'll continue to have more. You're immortal." "But we're exhausted." My friend complains. I nod. "We don't want to feel this anymore." The woman tilts her head a bit. "You must feel the physical pain of this world. Because the only way we can truly learn is through experience." She turns to leave as I mumble one last plead. She leaves us there.
