Princess sat by the window, her eyes unfocused as she stared out at the bustling city below. But her mind was far from the present.

Tulala siya dahil bumalik ang mga alaalang matagal na niyang nakalimutan. Memories that had been locked away since the accident that took her childhood away from her.

Flashes of laughter, of playing in the park, of a boy's smiling face filled her mind. Slowly, piece by piece, it all came back to her. Memories of King Ashton.

He was the boy from her childhood-the one she had forgotten when she lost her memories after that terrible accident.

They had been playing, chasing a ball that had rolled away. She could see it now, so clearly, like it was just yesterday. The ball had rolled into the street, and without thinking, she had run after it. She didn't see the speeding car until it was too late. The impact was the last thing she remembered before everything went black.

When she woke up in the hospital, everything had changed. Her family decided to move back to the States to help her recover, and in the process, she lost all connection to the life she once knew. Including King.

"So that's why..." she thought, her hand coming up to her mouth as the realization hit her.

That's why she had always felt a strange familiarity with King Ashton, even when they first met again. Para bang may kung anong koneksyon sa pagitan nila, kahit na para sa kanya ay estranghero ito.

But now she knew. They weren't strangers at all. They were childhood best friends, almost like soulmates. They had made promises to each other back then, promises that now seemed so far away yet so close to her heart.

"Ikaw ang pakakasalan ko paglaki natin," she remembered him saying, with all the confidence of a child who believed the world was theirs to command. She had laughed and agreed, because back then, it seemed so simple, so pure. Siya rin ang may gusto and the one who made King promise that they would marry each other when they grow up.

And now?

Si Angelo ang kasama niya. She's certain that she loves him pero ngayon ay hindi niya maiwasang makaramdam ng pagkalito. Angelo was her present, her love, the one who had been by her side through thick and thin, the one na hindi niya na gugustuhin pang mawalay muli sa kanya. But the memories of King-of Ashton-were powerful, tugging at her heart in ways she didn't know how to handle.

She wanted to tell Angelo about these memories, to share with him the weight of this newfound knowledge. But how could she? Ayaw niyang masaktan siya, ayaw niyang magselos ito. Angelo had been through enough, and the last thing she wanted was to cause him more pain. But at the same time, how could she ignore the feelings that were growing inside her?

Her mind was a whirlwind of emotions, and she didn't know which way to turn.

Mahal niya si Angelo, pero hindi rin niya maitatanggi na may nararamdaman siya para kay King. The realization that she had feelings for King, buried deep and only now resurfacing, scared her more than anything else.

Princess was still lost in her thoughts, her heart heavy with the weight of her memories. The sudden realization of her past with King Ashton had shaken her to the core, leaving her more confused than ever.

*Knock* *Knock*

She quickly wiped away the tear that had unknowingly slipped down her cheek, trying to compose herself before calling out.
