My hands shook as I reread the text over and over again. My brain was overthinking everything and I thought maybe his words were laced with double meaning. But I didn't understand why he would send me a message so blunt at the same time. Actually, thinking over it again, how did I even know it was him? No, it had to be. He was the one after me and he was the one that killed so many people. It had to be him.

I'm after you Alexandra Jennings. And I will find you, and kill you on the night of your ending debut.

Obviously the ending debut meant the last night of our musical. I didn't know what to do.

"Alex? Are you okay?" I shake my head and look down at my phone. I'd called Kaiden. By mistake or on purpose, it didn't matter. Hearing his voice released some of the tension but I'm still shaking. I use the other hand to hold it so I can hold the phone properly. Bringing it to my ear, I answer.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I..." I trail off, knowing full well Kaiden won't believe me. As I thought, a second after I finish talking he's hitting me with concern.

"Alex, I can tell something's off. I can come over if you want me to. Or you can tell me over the phone. Or even tell someone else, Dix or Jordan or Bear. Heck, I think even Dec would listen in these circumstances. Can you tell me or someone?" I chuckle halfheartedly.

"Kaiden, I'm fine. I... I just needed to know your fine. With everything that's been going on..." I can hear him sigh in relief on the other end and I smile a little.

"Thank goodness. You almost gave me a heart attack." I laugh and this time it's genuine.

"If I killed the all mighty Kaiden James by worrying him to death, I think that means I earn a badge." Kaiden grunts but laughs too.

"Are you sure you're alright?"

"I'm sure. But thanks for being on standby."

"I'll always be here for you Alex." I end the call and smile at my phone for a full minute before turning it off.

I could worry another time about the looming death I might face. But for now, in this moment, all I wanted to think about was Kaiden's voice in my ear full of concern for me.

Being stuck in a room with Ms Maggie wasn't that bad. But this time being with her, I felt something familiar. I'd not felt it the other times I'd been with her. It felt more intimate and personal.

"Alex, we're not going to be let out until the end of lunch probably. We may as well make the most of this time." She sat down and crossed her legs like a small child. I sit opposite her and she smiles at me.

"Ms Maggie, you seem familiar. Why do I feel like I know you?" Ms Maggie smiles at me sadly and shakes her head.

"You do know me. But you were only three. You probably don't remember me that much." She sighs.

"Well, I must probably say this firstly. My last name is not Maggie. In fact, my name isn't even Maggie anything. I changed my name to Maggie after a few years ago. The only ones that know my true name is Principal Marselle, Vice Principal Jarvis and some of the other teaching staff.

I changed my name because a few years ago, a girl in my neighbourhood caused some trouble. You might've probably heard it on the news but then again, you might be too young to remember. No, you're probably a little traumatised by this event that you might remember it.

"Anyway, the girl, her name was Aeylia, like the main character in our musical." I gasp but don't say anything because Ms Maggie gives me a look telling me to not interrupt.
"Aeylia, she caused the deaths of many but it was all accidental. She'd just been having fun at the Meyarin palace for a party with some of her friends. But one of her friends admitted to liking her. He couldn't take her rejection well and got his hands on some bombs. Those bombs were set off in the Meyarin palace while they were having a party. It killed many innocent people.
