It was 11:37 pm when I heard a knock on my door. There standing at my front door was Kaycee with her eyes red like she had been crying, lips pouted, hair completely out of place, and holding a white cloth that was covering her nose.

"Sean, I'm so sorry." She began bawling, "I-I should've listened to you. I should've—"

It hurt me to see Kaycee like this. Kaycee was a happy person whose light brightened everyone she made contact with, but now? Her light had been dimmed these past few months and it seems like every day she gets farther and farther away from her true self.

I let her into my place while holding my arm around her since she was crying. "Kaycee? Are you okay? What happened?"

I noticed Kaycee had brought a bag with her and normally she didn't do that. I didn't wanna ask about Josh and I promised her I wouldn't bring it up, but hopefully she would.

"I d-don't mean to disturb you, b-but I really need somewhere to stay for a f-few days."

She looked so helpless at that moment. Obviously, I was going to say yes.

"Sure," I nodded, "You can stay in my spare bedroom."

"Thank you so much."

Kaycee buried her head in my chest and I found myself pulling her closer to me.

"I'm guessing you don't want to talk about it?"

Kaycee gently shook her head.

After Tahani and Bailey told me what they had seen I couldn't move. I hadn't realized that a couple of minutes had passed and the concerned looks on their faces.

I looked at them, "He's cheating on me?"

"Kaycee, it sucks to have to tell you this, but we know what we saw." Tahani paused, glancing back at Bailey before continuing, "We just figured we had to tell you."

"Are you sure you didn't misunderstand or see someone else?"

I didn't want to believe that it was true.

"Kaycee, look at this parking lot!" Bailey was starting to get frustrated. "The only cars left are your car, Josh's car, Tahani's car, and oh look! Taylor's car!"

"Maybe they were just practicing their dance. You guys saw how much they had to touch each other during that!"

"You're unbelievable, Kaycee. What happened to you?" Bailey said. "C'mon, T. Let's get out of here."

Tahani gave me a sad look. She looked disappointed. Tahani followed Bailey and they both got into her car and left.

Later that night I was at home rehearsing some of my choreography in our home dance studio. It had been 3 hours since I left the studio and Josh still wasn't home yet. The more minutes that ticked by, the more I found myself worrying about what he and Taylor were up to. Did it really take 3 hours to talk about video ideas?

I shook my head before stopping the music that was playing through my speakers and sitting on the floor, leaning against the mirror in the studio. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram. I saw that Taylor had posted a picture with Josh 1 hour ago. He had his arm wrapped around her waist and her face was laid in the crook of Josh's neck. You could tell that this was taken from downtown L.A. The picture only had a red heart as the caption.

joshbeauchamp Loved hanging out with you, cutie! 💗

I felt myself start to get jealous about all the comments 'shipping' them, but my fans were pretty loyal and were grilling Josh and Taylor about me. What hurt most was Josh's comment calling her a cutie. Maybe he was cheating on me and I just didn't want to believe it. I hate that I even had to question it.

Josh came home around 10:45, drunk of course, but this time he had marks on his neck, and his hair was out of place.

"Josh?" My heart was breaking as I realized those marks on his neck were hickeys, "What have you been doing?"

"Nothing, babe. Gosh, why do you always worry about me so much? Don't worry about what I'm up to!"

He was speaking loud, but his words were slurred, and he could barely walk straight.

"Why do you have hickeys on your neck, Josh?" I questioned further in an angry tone.

"Shut up! They aren't hickeys. Are you accusing me of something?"

He then got in my face. I had to look away from him because he reeked of alcohol so badly.

"I can't believe you right now, Josh. You did cheat on me, didn't you?"

He crossed his arms but didn't answer my question. I shook my head at him and stormed to our room, but Josh followed me.

"Don't walk away from me!" Josh grabbed my arm. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!"

He forcefully yanked me to turn around and face him.

"Josh, how could you?" I started to cry, "I trusted you and you went behind my back and cheated!"

Josh looked so angry, but I didn't care. He needed to know that what he did was wrong.

"Kaycee, you know that's not true. I wouldn't hurt you like that."

I sat on the bed and placed my head in my hands. I couldn't talk to him right now. I should've believed Tahani and Bailey when they told me. I can't believe how stupid I was to actually trust him.

"Kaycee, what the fuck is this?"

I looked up quickly to see Josh holding up Sean's lewser shirt that I borrowed. I had left it at the bottom of my side of the closet, but I guess he saw it anyway. My heart sank because I knew he was never gonna let it go.

"It smells like cologne." He was slowly walking up to me while tightly gripping the shirt in his hands. "This is Sean's, isn't it?"

"Josh, I swear I was just borrowing—" I tried to calm him down, but there really was no use.

"Liar!"

And before I could even process what was happening I had fallen back on the bed and Josh was screaming at me. I couldn't even focus on him as the ringing in my ear got louder and louder. He had punched me square in the nose and the impact was so hard that I had stumbled over.

"I knew it! I knew something was going on!" Josh grabbed Sean's shirt and tied it around my neck, strangling me with it.

"Josh, please! Stop it!"

I looked at him in horror. He was gonna kill me.

He kept squeezing tighter and tighter until I couldn't even tell him to stop anymore. Before I knew it my vision was getting blurry. The fabric of the shirt digging into my skin was the last thing I could feel before everything went numb. My body went limp and I collapsed in his arms.

"Kaycee! Kaycee! Please, answer me. . ."

His voice began to fade away as everything went black.
