After I was finished on the stand we had recess and was speaking with Kaycee in the hallway.

"Kaycee, why didn't you tell me about all of that stuff? You made yourself look crazy. You told Josh you guys could be friends?" I questioned.

"Only so he would leave me alone. I didn't know he would come over. I definitely wasn't trying to hurt him either." Kaycee shook her head. She looked so scared. "Sean, I'm going to jail." Her eyes were tearing up and so was mine.

"You can't think like that, Kaycee. There's gotta be something that can help us, like a text from Josh or something." I sighed.

"Sean, there's nothing. I didn't even answer his texts when he came that night. If the jury doesn't believe my side of the story based off of those photos and records from the doctor, I'm done."

I gave Kaycee a tight hug, before her lawyer approached us.

"You know, they are giving a hell of an argument, but the bottom line is the jury listens to reason and we have hard evidence from the doctor that shows your doctor thought you were getting abused." He said. "So as long as we stick to that we're good. After all Josh's lawyer doesn't have anything but that video, the rest he's just pulling out of his ass."

Kaycee nodded before letting out a heavy sigh.

"I'm gonna go sit with your mom and dad now, hey, everything is going to be okay." I said to Kaycee before giving her a quick kiss on her forehead and walking back to the courtroom.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think its pretty clear who is guilty of a crime here. One lawyer came here to do his job today and the other, well, he came here to embarrass himself." The courtroom began whispering and talking about the judges comments. "The whole courtroom has seen the pictures and frankly its obvious that Kaycee Rice is no threat to Josh and had no intent of killing him that night."

Was he saying what I think he was saying?

"Jury, have you reached a verdict?"

"We have, your honor." A jury member that was standing said. "In the case of Assault in the third degree we find the defendant, not guilty."

The whole courtroom, including myself, cheered.

I looked at Kaycee to see her crying tears of joy.

"Your honor, we do however wanna take this moment to announce the charges that were made towards the plaintiff." The jury member said causing everyone to gasp.

"In the case of Domestic Assault in the third degree and Breaking and Entering, we find him guilty."

Everyone clapped and I saw officers walk up to Josh with handcuffs.

"What?! You've gotta be kidding me!" Josh yelled angrily. "I didn't hurt her! I didn't do anything!"

Soon I saw Kaycee run up to me and I caught her in my arms before spinning her around.

"I knew everything would work out." I chuckled.

"I love you, Sean. Thank you, for everything you've done." Kaycee looked up to me before kissing me in front of everyone.

People cheered around us, but I was lost in the feeling of our lips moving together.

"I love you too, Kaycee Rice." I said breathlessly.

Kaycee and I were now dancing in an empty dance studio at Millenium. We had some downtime before our next class so we worked on a duet of ours. It was the perfect song that described Kaycee and I right now.

"When I think about your love,

I close my eyes let it surround me,

Though I just don't understand,

How to let you love me,"

Kaycee and I smiled at each other before I lifted her up into the air and the music continued.

"I am here with open hands,

All I need is you again,

No I won't move, let my soul be still,

So I will let you love me,

Yeah I will let you love me."

And finally, for the first time in forever all I felt was peace. I had my girl, she had me, and nothing felt better.
