I woke up the next morning in Sean's bedroom. Whenever I slept over here, Sean would let me sleep in his room because that's what was most comfortable. We're best friends, so that's not weird, right?
I turned over to see a sleeping Sean. His chest rose and fell along with his soft snores. I smiled at his cuteness before sitting up in bed and straddling his waist.
"Sean, wake up!" I exclaimed while shaking him.
He groaned, "Mmm, five more minutes."
"Nooo, it's already 9:00 and we have to get ready for class. Remember?"
He sighed, "Yeah, you're right. You go ahead and get ready."
"Okay, but when I get out of the bathroom you better be up," I said to him.
"Yes ma'am."
Sean's POV
Kaycee seemed to be in a happy mood this morning. I haven't seen her that enthusiastic for anything in a while. I was going to try and convince her to see a doctor today because her nose looked badly injured and I didn't want it to get infected or anything.
I started making us some breakfast downstairs while Kaycee showered. I always showered the night before so I didn't need to worry about that right now.
After about 20 minutes had passed Kaycee came downstairs with a smile on her face.
"Smells good in here, Lew." She said before sitting at the kitchen island.
"Thanks, I made your favorite omelet and a side of fruit," I said before putting her omelet on a plate and handing it to her.
Kaycee took a bite before throwing her head back, "Mmm, so good Sean."
I chuckled at her, "I'm guessing you like it?"
"Yes, I do."
I put my omelet on a plate and sat next to her. We both ate in silence for a minute before I glanced over at Kaycee.
"Look, I think we should go to the doctor today before we go to class," I said to Kaycee. "I want your nose to get properly treated and taken care of."
She nodded, "You're right. It needs to get taken care of by a professional."
I was glad that Kaycee was willing to at least get it checked out. I just found myself wondering if she was going to lie about what happened or not.
Once Kaycee and I finished breakfast I drove the both of us over to Kaycee's health clinic. While I was driving Kaycee had gotten some text notifications, but she just sighed and ignored them. I knew it had to be Josh, she just didn't want to say it.
When was that asshole gonna leave her alone? I could make him if I really wanted to, but I knew Kaycee wouldn't like that.
We soon arrived at Kaycee's health clinic and checked in.
"You want me to go in with you?" I asked.
Kaycee nodded in response. As soon as the nurse called Kaycee's name we both got up and followed her to the examination room where Kaycee's nose would be looked at.
"So, what brings you in today, Ms. Rice?" The nurse questioned.
Kaycee spoke in a shy tone, just above a whisper, "My nose was badly injured. I wanted to get it checked out to see if it was broken or anything. It hurts really bad."
"Okay, I'll have Dr. Richmond come and have a look at it." The nurse paused, looking a little uneasy, "Now I am required to ask, what happened to it?"
Kaycee's eyes went wide for a moment, but she was able to keep her composure and made up an excuse for why her nose was messed up.
