Welcome back, players!

It's been quite a while, hasn't it? Turns out school and responsibilities hit everyone--including participants--harder than anticipated. Such is the way of life and we want to thank all of you for being patient in waiting for this next batch of assignments. Here's some housekeeping information to satisfy those of you looking for an update.

I'll keep it transparent. A few of the judges were not able to submit scores on time and that explains only a portion of the waiting period. It may be wise to check your final, updated score on the Showdown 1 Results chapter to see where you land with the straggling scores we just updated.

As for the rest of the waiting portion, there were participants that still did not complete their entry fee which is mandatory for the game's progress. Their payments (thorough review or advancement) are being withheld. If one of those participants would like to dispute the claim, please PM us.

PROCEDURE REMINDER: The book with the highest score from the first round gets a bye for this round. In other words, they do not have a challenger and will be judged independently to see where they land for round three. If your book has [EXEMPT] next to it, congratulations for racking up so many points!

PAYMENT: If your name is not listed in a showdown, that means we owe you a review. Please give us time to craft them so that they can be quality. Also, you are still required to pay up to the grand winner of your genre. That's what you committed to when you chose to participate.

PLAY YOUR WAY IN: It worked! Playing your way in worked for a few participants. To keep it fair, those that played their way in will have challengers regardless of their scores and in some cases, will be battling the participant that had the highest score of those not meant to advance. Put simply, there was a second chance given if your score was still higher than the person that played their way in. You'll just have to play another round to see who'll push ahead.

Each genre has a different number of participants and might not be following the same procedures. For any questions at all, please feel free to message us!
