Thomas' POV

Tw: A little bit of homophobia and sexual harassment

Next morning, James couldn't walk properly so Thomas had to carry him around.
Laf was giving them smirky looks, knowing well what had happened.
All three decided to get chinese today because no one wanted to cook.
They went in a buss.
James held Thomas' hand while Lafayette was listening to music with his headphones.
James laid his head on Thomas' shoulder and noticed a little girl staring at them.
He poked Thomas' arm until he noticed it too.
Thomas narrowed his eyes, giving the girl an angry look.
The girl flinched and told her mom something.
The mom got up and walked up to Thomas. "My daughter told me you were glaring at her."
Thomas shrugged. "She was staring at us."
"She's just a child! Can you blame her-" The women noticed Thomas and James holding hands. "For staring at you.." She backed away. "I'm really sorry for my daughter, she didn't do it on purpose." She sat back down on her seat.
Thomas rolled his eyes. "Can't even go on a buss without people looking at us.." He mumbled.
Lafayette pressed the stop button at their stop. "It could have been worse."
They got off.
"Someone could have gotten hurt."
James looked down. "It was really uncomfortable."
Thomas held James close. "And what makes it worse is that we're black. So it might be homophobia AND racism."
They walked in the restaurant and ordered the food and went to a table to wait.
"But like, this is New York. Everyone can see everything here." Lafayette said and checked his phone.
"I know, but it doesn't mean that people are exeptive here than somewhere else." James said sadly.
The waiter brought them the food and they thanked him.
Laf poured them water. "But whatever happens, I will always stand by both of you."
Thomas smiled. "Thanks Laf."
After they were done eating, they decided to go shopping.
They went in a clothing store.
Lafayette admired some beautiful dresses. "I want to try one on." He said with starry eyes.
Thomas nodded. "Go ahead. I can be the judge."
Lafayette nodded and picked a black sleek dress with diamonds on the waist. He went to try it.
James sat on a chair that was nearly the dressing rooms.
Thomas smiled when he saw Lafayette. *He's gorgeous..* "You look amazing."
"Really?" Lafayette asked blushing a little. "I dunno..it shows a lot of skin.."
"But it's like it would have been made for your body."
Thomas saw James narrowing his eyes in the distance. Thomas turned to face him. "I'm not flirting, don't worry."
James blushed and looked away. "I wasn't thinking that.."
Thomas turned back to Lafayette. "Maybe you should try another dress and see if you like that one."
Lafayette nodded and went back in the dressing room to take the dress off.
James stood up and limped to Thomas. "I want a new hoodie."
Thomas smiled and patted his head. "I'll buy you one."
"It needs to be yours first. Then I can say it's my boyfriend's hoodie." James said looking up at him.
"Oh my gosh..Well of course we can do it like that then." Thomas smiled and pecked James' lips.
Lafayette came out of the dressing room and went to find a new dress. He came back with three new ones.
He went in the dressing room.
Thomas cuddled James but stopped when he heard quiet crying coming from Laf.
He knocked on the door. "Is everything ok?"
"No..everything's not ok.." Lafayette answered quietly.
"What happened?"
He came out, with his face red. "Someone tried to touch me.."
Thomas gasped and hugged Lafayette.
James hugged him too. "Did you see who it was?"
Lafayette shook his head. "No..but it was a male..probably thought that I was a girl.."
"Either way, it was wrong. And I hope he gets his ass beaten-" Thomas was cut off by Laf.
"Don't say that. It wasn't that bad..But I want to go now.."
"Before we go, you'll tell me what he did."
Lafayette sniffed. "He..put his hand between my legs.."
"Did he do something else?"
"He whispered that I'm thick..and then he left.."
Thomas nodded and looked down at Lafayette's pocket. "I think he gave you his number."
Lafayette took a small piece of paper from his pocket. "He did.." He almost ripped it but Thomas stopped him. "We could need this in the future." He took the paper between his fingers.
James rubbed Lafayette's arm. "We'll make sure this doesn't happen again."
"Yeah." Thomas agreed.
"Thanks you guys. I couldn't ask for better friends." Lafayette smiled as they left the store.
Thomas looked at James who was talking to Lafayette happily. *I'm happy they're getting along.*
