The rain was pouring down and I was soaked. I was running home as fast as I could trying to hold back the tears and I couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal. How could he, how could he do that he stand me up for another guy like that. I don't understand was it my fault, did I do something wrong. Was I not good enough. There was a few blocks left before I started feeling a little dizzy so I decided to stop at a gas station and grab a soda. I grabbed a pepsi and went to check out and that was the last thing i remember. I woke up to see flashing lights and and a few younger men who appeared to be in there mid 20's lifting me up onto a stretcher. As they where loading me into the ambulance I passed out again. I woke up two days later to see a brightly lit room and the sound of beeping in the background. It took me a few minutes before I realized where I was. Though I didn't know what happened, I was positive that I was in a hospital. It wasn't long before I heard a familiar voice yelling " he's awake, he's awake" I didn't quite know who it was until he came over to me. It almost seemed as if he were going to cry. He started apologizing " I am so sorry it wasn't what it looked like, nothing happened that night.'' At that point I was confused, I could hardly remember what happened that night. I really just wanted to know what happened, why was I in the hospital, why does it feel like if i move then my body will be ripped into a thousand pieces, and why the love of my life was apologizing for something I couldn't remember. A short moment went by and he started crying by my bedside I could hear him mumble " how could this happen this is all my fault". After I heard that he was blaming himself i had to know what happened, so I tried to speak but it was hard but with a little effort I got a few words out " wa ...what ...happened t.t.to m. me ". before he could answer a doctor came in and asked him to step outside for a moment. The doctor then proceed to take a few notes began introducing himself, "Hi i'm doctor bennett" again I asked " wh...at ...happened t.o me".
He began to explain that I have fainted at the gas station and hit my head causing temporary memory loss and that I have bruised several other parts of my body. After he finished explaining that he gave me a serious look and then said that he has some bad news and it was serious.
