"KILL HER"
[HOSEOK]
Pebbles after pebbles were thrown one after another across the lake. Each pebble for a question that runs through my mind. It has been a week since I last saw Scarlett. How are you right now? Are you all right? I took a deep breath of fresh air as I watched the sunrise from the horizon of the lake.
"It's beautiful ain't it?"
I heard the familiar voice of the man standing beside me. Yet I couldn't be bothered to even spare him a glance. Instead, I kept my head looking forward, enjoying the magnificent view as the sun shone its rays across the wonders of the worlds. Silenced filled the air as I picked up another piece of stone before skipping it across the lake. "I heard that you just came back from Tokyo. Scarlett, is it? Right, how is she?"
The question that was raised resulted in me frozen in my steps. I tightened my grip onto the rock in my palm before letting out a tired sigh trying not to be bothered by whatever was being said. With that, I continued to skip the stone through the lake, but to no surprise, the rock dipped and sunk right to the bottom of the lake. A chuckle could be heard coming from behind me as the guy walked closer and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "What's wrong, Hoseok?" He picked up another stone from the ground before throwing it up in the air, only for me to catch it in my palm. "Oh come on Hoseok, loosen up!" The guy gently messaged my shoulders before standing close to me and hold onto my hands, "Did you thought I was never going to find out?" He gently swayed my hands through a back and front motion before he lets my hand go, making a solid stone skip across the lake.
Walking past me and right to the edge of the lake, he slowly squats down on the ground and casually counted the number of skips the stone made. "What do you want?"
Once again a chuckle escaped the guy's lips as I watch him stand back up and dust the dust off his hands. He then turns his head before making his way towards me, standing an arms-length apart. "What do I want... Hah!" He then runs his hands through his hair before looking me in the eye, "I only want us to work together brother-"
"Don't call me brother."
"Oh come on, if our fathers could work together... Why couldn't we? Besides, my dad is dying to meet you..."
"You lost me at dying."
He glared at me deadly before letting out a burst of small laughter, "Very funny... Very funny," Once again he wraps his arms around my shoulder as we walked away from the lake. "Want to know something funny? Let me tell you something funny." He tightens his arms around my neck as we made our way to the parking lot. "Remember the night you risked 3 bullets for the love of your life?"
Snippets of that night flashed before my eyes as I reminisce the occurrence that day. Both from my point of views as well as Scarlett's, the ones I saw that night by the beach. Remembering vividly as Scarlett shot all the guys while being buried under me. Of course, I remember... How could I not? My hands unconsciously brought itself up to my bullet scars before gently feeling it.
"What if I told you those guys were Scarlett's guys."
My eyes grew wide as I looked over my shoulder to the guy beside me, "She had sent those guys to kill you after finding out that you killed both her dad and her cousin's whom she calls papa." Not being able to tolerate any more lies that were being spat out of his mouth, I grabbed him by the collar and raised my fist at him. At this moment, all I wanted to do was punch the shit out of him. In defence and denial to whatever he had just said. That's impossible. It can't be. But nothing seemed to be able to come out of my mouth. It was as if there was a lump in my throat and as much as I wanted to believe myself that Scarlett wasn't capable of it... There's just no way.
