"RETURN OF THE WHITE LILIES"

[SCARLETT]

The world around me, at that very moment, seemed to have slowed down by the seconds and there it was. In front of me, an incoming truck, going at a rather high speed was headed my way. It didn't spare me any moment to think as snippets of that night kept flashing before my eyes. The night when I found out Hoseok killed both my parents and the twin's. The same night I questioned if he loved me. And today...

The same questions come across my mind once more. Was the same thing happening again? What if the time and effort he had spent in Tokyo was just a way to get to me, then kill me. After all, they did kill dad and attempted to kill mom. Was he going to kill me? Does he really love me? Does he even love me in the first place?

That night... When the brakes to my bike wouldn't engag-

"Take care of yourself..."

"Try not to get yourself killed..."

The brakes...

*HONK*

"Scarlett! Hit the brakes what are you waiting for?!"

Fortunately enough, the loud horn that was sounded by the truck snapped me right back to reality as I watch the distance between me and the truck close in. Behind me, tyres could be heard screeching as Stella shouted for me to hit the brake. Without wasting any moment, I shut my eyes tight and prayed hard that the brakes weren't cut off as I engaged the brakes hard, diverting my bike off the road and to the edge of the curb.

Luckily the brake worked as it slowed down the speed of my bike just in time for the truck to also divert itself to avoid colliding into me. I hopped off the bike as I rolled across the pavement watching mom's bike slide and scape itself against the ground.

"Help us!"

I turned my head over my shoulders to where the cries for help were heard. The driver that had successfully swerved away from me seemed to have lost his control of the truck and headed straight for the lady with her stroller. "Save my baby!" Stella hopped off her bike and glided across the street to where the baby was wailing in fear of the sudden loud commotion surrounding her. Unlatching her holders to where her boomerang was carefully placed, she took both of it out and threw it towards the tyres of the truck, puncturing it flat.

But unfortunately, it only made it worse.

The driver lost his control over the truck as it skidded towards the pavement where he tried to swerve away from the mother but their distance was too close to avoid. Not knowing what else to do, Stella jumped before the mother and the child, wrapping her arms in front of them.

"Immobulus (stops movement)!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs before turning my head to look away, not being able to bear the sight of what it may become. A few moments after, I took the liberty to turn my head to check on the mother and the child. Thankfully Stella was there to check on the both of them as she carefully brings them aside. Seeing as tho nothing serious had happened, I removed the helmet with a broken windshield off my head and let my hair flow down my shoulder.

"I thought I told you not to get yourself killed?"

A familiar voice could be heard coming from my back as I run my hands through my hair releasing a sigh of relief before the shadow that had overshadowed me make his way to the front. A hand was then offered to help me get back up on my two feet but being the proud lady I am, I shoved his hands away and got on my knees before standing straight up. In my despair, my legs had fallen asleep; probably from the shock of almost getting into an accident, causing me to fall right into his arms.
