Chaos POV
The engine of my Harley hummed underneath me as I made my way through the crowded streets of Monday morning Seattle.
One I made the next turn I'd have a clear view of the compounds gates.
I don't think I'm prepared for the hell that will be unleashed one I pull into the court yard.
The prospect stationed at the gate recognised my bike and thunderous disposition as I came speeding down the street.
I parked up next to the Prez's bike and dismounted, taking off my ray bans in the process.
I'd been gone no more than a month yet everything seemed different. The eerie silence and thick atmosphere dominated the yard, there wasn't a man in sight.
Puzzled, I made my way into the clubhouse headed straight for the bar.
As soon as my boot clad foot stepped over the threshold, a small strawberry blonde form of fury latched itself onto my back and began slapping the side of my head.
Emily.
"WHERE. THE. HELL. HAVE. YOU. BEEN. YOU. ASS" She screeched in between slaps. Yeah she was definitely mad at me. I looked up and locked eyes with an equally angry Erik Sanderson, disappointment and worry etched onto his aged features.
I managed to remove the angry spider monkey from my back and set her down in front of me.
I gripped her by the shoulders and brought her into my embrace. Her anger wasn't necessarily directed to my abrupt disappearance, but more towards my lack of communication.
She didn't like to admit that she worried about me.
"I'm sorry Em" I said sincerely into the back of her head which was rested upon my shoulder.
"We've needed you here Chaos. I don't deserve a phone call, to see if your still alive? Is that what I'm worth to you Chaos Callahan. You once told me that I was like I mother to you, it's time you started acting like it." She said with a huff.
Yeah I was in big trouble.
"Rik has hardly slept trying the juggle club business and family matters without you by his side. Maddox is losing his mind trying to save his sister. And Lennox... where do I even start with my sweet girl." Years brimmed her eyes at the thought of Lennox Lee. My eyes had glosses over too.
"Can I see her?" I asked tentatively. Taking hold of Emily hand and walking her over to our table so she could fill me in on everything I missed.
"Maddox took her to her councillor, then said he'd take her for a drive after to try and clear her head." She explained with a pained expression.
On the inside I was glad she was able to get help. Maybe now she wouldn't need me to mess up her head anymore.
"What-what happened while I was away Em?" I asked with a slight stutter, I knew things had gone from bad to worse as the weekend rolled by due to Maddox's increasingly panicked chain of voicemails.
"Oh god Cha it was horrible" she admitted as a tear ran down her rosy cheeks. I hated seeing anything but a smile on this woman's face, Erik too.
"She told us everything, from the moment they took her to when we found her... everything she could remember."
