Other than reading this book, of course, I have listed below my top five personal development books that everyone should read now. These books are self-help masterpieces and everyone should have these books on their bookshelf. Books are are great way to obtain an education without having to pay the hefty price of college. With all this knowledge at your fingertips its amazing what you can do with what you learned.

Reading is such an important part in our lives because it keeps our minds stimulated. One can grow as they read and learn from what others have written and this is what makes life worth living. That through the exchange of works on paper we all have the ability to change a person's life and for me the five books I have listed below do that for me and I hope they do the same for you as well.

1 and 2) "The Power of now" and "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle is one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend to have these two books on your shelf. He dives into higher level philosophical thought and really makes you think. His challenging writing really stimulates thought and kept me intrigued the entire time. He writes on how to find meaning in life and to live your purpose and if this is the area you are looking to develop his books are for you. These two are must haves in self-help and spiritual books.

3)"The Power of Positive Thinking" by Vincent Norman Peale

For those of you who are unfamiliar with "The Power of Positive Thinking" it was first published in 1952. It's "an oldie but a goodie" as the saying goes. This book has truly revolutionized how I can change my perspective in life. Instead of being "stuck" in an emotional wreckage this book helped me get through my struggles at the time and was one of the reasons I am motivated to write this book. With the help of his practical application throughout the book I have found myself being able to get "unstuck" whenever i'm feeling down. For anyone who struggles with having a positive outlook or are going through a rough time I highly recommend this book to add to your collection.

4) "The Art and Power of Acceptance" by Ashley Davis Bush

Most recently, I have read "The Art and Power of Acceptance" by Ashley Davis Bush and let me tell you it has had a profound impact on my life. For me it was the perfect book because in my busy life it was a quicker read, but every word in her book had meaning. I have always struggled with accepting my type one diabetes diagnosis and as a result I found myself neglecting my health. After reading this book I felt at peace with what my body has given me and as a result i've seen my blood sugar improve dramatically. Whatever it may be that you are struggling with I highly recommend giving this book a read it is perfect for anyone who particularly doesn't have plenty of free time. It is a quicker read but the value it provides is ten fold.

5) "The Kindness Method" by Shahroo Izadi

The kindness method is another book I read relatively recently and it was truly inspiring. Her interactive approach to her books is what really gives her book a big impact. She has created a series of mind maps to help anyone break bad habits and create good ones in their place. She gives her real life examples to support the work she has done and that type of vulnerability as a writer is what makes her book really personable and relatable. If you are struggling with correcting bad habits I highly recommend giving this book a read. It is another one that doesn't take too much time to get through but still has big impact.

I hope that you can add not only these five books to your collection but this one as well. All these self-help books are great ways to get to know yourself better and live a healthy and happy life. We all have different tips and tricks to living fully so I recommend no matter what types of genres you prefer that you make self help books part of your collection.
