Stop thinking about her, I thought angrily as I slammed my truck door shut, jogging up my front porch steps as I opened the front door to find myself face to face with Emily, who shrieked when the door flew towards her, her frown transformed into a smile when she saw it was me, stepping aside to let me in as I offered my younger sister a weak smile
"Jake? Are you alright? You didn't come home last night," Emily asked hesitantly as I turned around to face my sister. "You seem...bothered by something...is something bugging you? H-hey, d-do you need to talk about it?" She offered kindly as I shook my head, walking upstairs to my room as I shut the door, locking it to keep my nosy siblings out as I flopped down on my bed.
