A Villain's Rise

"This isn't good" Nedzu said as he fell back in the couch after hearing All Might explain what happened at Kamino ward. "Not only did Deku just become a much greater threat, but Todoroki too. Losing such a talented student. Not only is it a great loss, but if the media finds out they will slaughter us. I can already see the headlines. Top student at UA turned villain! And if they find out by themselves it will be even worse" Nedzu said. "On the bright side, Deku doesn't know who my successor is, and it annoys him" All Might commented. "Yes, that's good. By the way, how is she doing?" Nedzu asked, switching back to his positive attitude. "She's coping. First, she loses a close friend and now one of the classmates she looked up to has become a villain. It has been though for her" All Might replied in a more saddened tone.

The 1-A dorms were silent. Everyone was trying to process what they just heard "Todoroki wouldn't do that, Deku must have done something" Yaoyorozu said. "There's no way he... he wouldn't have... he..." She continued, unable to finish her sentences. "Just face it, Todoroki betrayed us. We trusted him and he threw it all aside" Ojiro stated. "No, it can't be, he can't have thrown it all aside. Maybe we can find him a-and convince him. Show him that there is still good in heroes, show him what is right" Kaminari pleaded. "No, I saw it when he joined Deku. He won't come back. I just don't know what to do and what if he was convinced because... because Deku was right" Tsuyu suggested. Suddenly, Bakugo got up and stormed out of the building. "Wait! Bakubro!" Kirishima called out as he followed. Leaving the rest of class 1-A. "It doesn't matter what happened and why it happened. Todoroki is with Deku now and we need to move on and find out what to do now" Uraraka said as the others silently agreed with her.

"Stupid Deku" Bakugo mumbled angrily as he walked around the UA campus without any real purpose. "Always having that smug look like he is above me!" He exclaimed in an outburst. "And UA and the heroes are just a bunch of pussies who doesn't even try to find him. He made Half n' half a fucking villain, why the fuck aren't they doing something!?" Bakugo complained loudly.

"Are you alright Bakubro?" Kirishima asked, whose sudden appearance almost made Bakugo attack him. "Don't fucking sneak up on me like that again" Bakugo threatened. "Sorry" Kirishima chuckled. "The fuck you doing here anyways? Weren't you with the other extras?" Bakugo asked. "I'm worried for you, and so are the others. You keep walking around the campus late and it looks like you constantly think about something else. We know that you have some sort of connection with Deku. But you refuse to talk about it, and it makes me kinda worried" Kirishima explained. Bakugo let out a long sigh and sat down next to a tree.

"If tell you about Deku, do you promise to not tell anyone?" Bakugo asked. "Of course" Kirishima replied and sat down next to Bakugo. "Fine" Bakugo said and let out another sigh. "Deku's real name is Izuku Midoriya and we used friends in kindergarten" He began. "You two were friends?" Kirishima interrupted. "Don't fucking interrupt me!" Bakugo yelled. "Sorry. I just didn't expect you to be friends" Kirishima apologized. "As I said, we were friends, very close friends actually. Nicknames, sleepovers, adventures, we did everything together" Bakugo said with an almost fond smile.

"Then, I got my quirk and I knew I would become the greatest hero. Everyone told me so. Meanwhile, Deku didn't get any quirk, he was quirkless. At first not much changed, except me starting to call him Deku, meaning useless. Started of as a joke, but as time went on it became more of an insult. You see, he never stopped trying to become a hero, despite everyone telling him to give up. It annoyed me, always looking like he was thinking he was above me. Although in hindsight, maybe I just took it the wrong way" Bakugo explained. "But it wont change what happened next. Since I started treating him as an outcast, so did the other extras and that was how it was for ten years. The last time I saw him in person was last year during middle school. The next day, his mother, Inko, was involved in a hostage situation. All Might came, but I guess he didn't think the villain would remain conscious. Either way, Deku's mother was killed by the villain. Unfortunately, Deku was there and saw her die" Bakugo said with a saddened tone.

"I'm not sure what exactly happened next, you couldn't hear them on the news, but All Might tried to comfort Deku and I guess that was when he snapped. The bastard started laughing like a lunatic and yelled something at All Might before running away. One year later I meet him at the USJ" Bakugo said. "Wow. That must be tough. Not to be rude, but I can kinda see why Deku became like he is" Kirishima said. "That is why I'm scared" Bakugo said, surprising Kirishima. "For what?" He asked. "I'm scared that Deku is right. That everything we believe in is wrong, that heroes only keep people like him as outcasts. Sometimes, I even wish quirks never existed. Me and Deku would have remained as friends and Inko wouldn't have died" Bakugo answered. Kirishima suddenly embraced Bakugo, making the explosive teen freeze up. "The fuck you doing?" He asked. "You need a proper manly hug" Kirishima replied. Bakugo didn't reply, but relaxed instead.

The following day class 1-A as sitting silently in their classroom when Aizawa came in. "Class dismissed, go back to the dorms and don't leave" He ordered. "Why? What happened?" Uraraka asked. "The league of Villain is attacking a nearby city with nomus and the principal is taking precautions" Aizawa replied. "Is Todoroki there?" Yaoyorozu asked. "We don't know" Aizawa replied

A/N: I guess one of the benefits of not having little to no internet at the moment is that I get more time to write chapters. So that's positive I guess. And if you have no idea what I'm talking about then check my profile, I put out a message about the situation there. Either way, shorter chapter this time. Not because of the internet issue, but because this is just meant to be a filler that deals whit how the hero side reacts to recent events. Also, there should be a few hints to who All Might's successor is, nothing conclusive yet, but should point you in the right direction. I won't give you the straight answer any time yet either. There was also a little detail I added into the chapter that, by my standards, I'm pretty pleased with. It isn't anything important to the story, but a cool detail if you notice it.
