He removes his mask and smiles at me, forgetting that he kidnapped me. "Hi, Ness,"

"Kaid? Why?" I whisper starting to cry.

"They made me leave. They told you I didn't care." He states.

"Who? My family?" I ask.

"Yes,"

"They said nothing! They were there to comfort me when you left!" I yell and his eyes darken again.

"If they hadn't made me leave..."

"That doesn't matter," I interrupt, "you could have told me! Or better yet not have left at all!"I give him a glare and he walks up to me and grabs my face.

"I love you so I'll let this slide. However, next time I won't be so courteous." He states and I shake out of his hold.

"Hey!" I yell as he leaves, "Do I get to eat or is that not something your willing to give your prisoner?" He stops and looks me dead in the eyes.

"You haven't earned it," he snarks and slams the door leaving me alone once again.

- later -

"Eat," he demands, coming into the room and throwing a sandwich at me.

"Thanks," I mumble opening the plastic baggie. He grunts and sits across from me. "What do you want Kaid?" I ask putting the sandwich down. His eyes focus on me.

"I want to talk,"

"About what? There's nothing left to discuss." I state crossing my arms.

"There's everything left to discuss," he says rubbing his neck.

"You know what," I say, "I do have one question." His eyes brighten and he looks ready to answer anything. "Why are you acting as nothing happened? Like my families not dead and you haven't kidnapped me?" His eyes darken and he stands. "Kaid?" I whisper and he slaps me, leaving a stinging mark on my cheek. The old Kaid would have rushed to apologize. The new one, however, stares me down glaring. "What the hell happened to you?" I demand as he leaves the room, refusing to answer any questions.
