Y/N's P.O.V

"I'd now like to welcome tonight's lovely guests- Keiynan Lonsdale!" James shouts, the crowd erupted in ginormous cheers and applause. Keiynan wears a goofy grin as he runs out and high fives a few people on his way down the stairs.

He makes it to the couch, hugging James happily. They greet each other personally before he shouts my name.

"And Y/N Y/L/N!" The crowd continues to cheer and applaud as I run out laughing, high fiving everyone I can, similar to how Keiynan introduced himself.

When I run down the stairs, I can't help but notice how underdressed I must be. I'm only wearing a simple yellow jumpsuit. The shoes covering my feet were a couple of years old, and the only makeup I'd bothered to put on was some mascara and foundation.

But I couldn't care less. This was the first time I'd gone out to a public place since I started singing feeling free and lightweight, without actually having to try and impress everyone. I loved this feeling.

I walk up to the couch, hugging James briefly with big smiles covering both of our faces.

"It's amazing to see you, Y/N." He greets, sitting down in his chair after I greet him back. I hug Keiynan quickly and smile. I'm a big fan of some of his acting. I remember watching Dance Academy all the time back when I was in high school.

And I mean, c'mon. Love, Simon was fabulous.

The audience's noises die down until only James' voice fills the space. "G'day guys." Both Keiynan and I chuckle at his attempt at an Australian accent.

The fact that the both of us were from Australia gives me a sense of warmth and welcoming as he's also from my state.

"Now I understand the both of you are from Down Under, have you ever met each other before you Keiynan started acting and Y/N here began singing?" I look over at Keiynan.

"No, but we were talking backstage and it turns out our grandparents were actually quite close, but our parents never really got to meet each other after my family moved away, so we only really started to know each other once Y/N got recognised for her talent in singing." He explains with a grin. I too smile slightly more at the memory of the conversation.

"Oh lovely, and you two both had to fly to get here?" We nod, almost in unison. "Well I feel quite flattered now." James fans his face with a wink and laughter fills the room.

"Y/N, you'll be performing later tonight, correct?" I nod, shuffling a little on the couch to put one of my legs over the other. "Yeah, I'll be singing a song I actually haven't released yet, it'll be released at 12:00am after I perform it tonight." A loud applause begins after I finish speaking, a small blush forming on my cheeks while I laugh in return.

"We all have something wonderful to look forward to then. Now Keiynan, you've just received an award for the 2018 film 'Love, Simon'." Keiynan nods with a beam on his face as they begin to discuss the movie and the awards following it.

I've only ever been to a few public interviews and events because I'm fairly new to my singing career, but being here right now, it just feels so fun and effortless. James makes it so easy to love him and I find myself enjoying every second I spend on the show.

"Y/N, lately on Twitter and Instagram, it's been clear you and Taron Egerton have become quite fond of each other." I bite my lip, redness instantly filling my cheeks at the thought of him. He's a long time celebrity crush of mine.
