Ever since I saw that biker during Christmas, I've been seeing him a lot more at school. I was in grade 9 now, and no longer a freshman. For the passed few weeks of my return to high school I've seen him always just before I left school in my mom's car and not once had I seen him without his helmet. Not once.
Before, I never saw the person who owned that bike but now I did. The only thing was that I never saw his face. Every afternoon before leaving school, I'd see him but he would either have his helmet on already or be putting it on. I never knew how he looked at all. I didn't even know his name. I just knew that he was some guy that had a black motorcycle and it was obvious that he had his license.
I'd been seeing him a lot but he didn't follow me around like the other guy, or at least I thought he didn't. I'd just see him after school as I said before. James, if that's even his name, I saw in my neighbourhood lately more often than not. In the mornings I'd always see him and his friend who lived close to where I lived, walking together.
He hung out in my neighbourhood a lot too and in the afternoon, for some reason would always walk passed my house or constantly skateboard in and out of the crescent. But then again this is a road. It's not illegal to walk or skateboard in a road you don't live in and besides I think he and that girl from my neighbourhood were friends. There's no rules that says you can't visit someone or skateboard for fun. Maybe he lived in a busy road so he came here since it's a quiet area?
Don't mind me, I'm just overthinking...
But back to this...
I'd been seeing that biker a lot and so I figured I might as well give him a nickname since I didn't know who the heck he was even though I saw him a lot, especially after school. However, because I never saw his face I was actually contemplating, calling him Helmet Head but that sounded weird, so I gave him the nickname Biker Boy instead.
And that's how he got the nickname Biker Boy.
