A constant beep rang in Autumn's ears when she opened her eyes. Blinking the blurriness away from her eyes, she looked around herself from her lying position on the ground and frowned.

Around her, the walls were white and a distinct smell of antiseptics was present in the air. The glaring lights above her made her head throb, or maybe it was from her fall. She didn't know. She figured she must have blacked out because she didn't remember when she got here. She could only feel her body aching everywhere.

Autumn closed her eyes for a few seconds before she opened them up again. She slowly rolled to her right side, groaning at the pain, and then put her weight on her arm before lifting her body up slightly. A sharp intake of breath cut off all the other noises from her throat when pain exploded in her lower back. She had forgotten about her stab wound for a second.

Shifting her body, Autumn took a small break and blinked back the tears. Slowly, she raised her body in a sitting position while avoiding all the wrong angles where it hurt the most. Once her abdomen was up, she reached a hand out to her back and placed it on her deep wound. She could feel the wetness of her blood all over her clothes and when she brought her hand back, it was covered in red.

Autumn blew out shakily and looked around the hospital corridor she was in. She let her mind take over and think back to all the memories that included the hospital and her friends, more specifically Kaylee and Adam. There were, unfortunately, a lot of them, and Autumn felt confused. The smell of disinfectants was getting on her nerves and she rubbed her temple.

One memory stuck to her mind. A memory that involved the engaged couple. Before Autumn allowed her thoughts to think it over, she decided to get up from the linoleum floor. She twisted her body to the side and then raised herself- supporting her weight on her hands. She then applied some force to her feet and shifted her body weight on them. Through the process, her breathing turned ragged and beads of sweat formed on her forehead. In one single motion, Autumn pushed at the floor with her hands and let her body go forward before she pulled herself up on her feet.

Her whole body screamed at her and she saw black dots blocking her vision. Autumn staggered forward and placed one hand on the wall- leaving a red handprint- while the other went to her head. Her eyes closed on their own.

She took a deep breath and opened her eyes that still stayed unfocused. Autumn blinked hard to get rid of her foggy vision. She turned her body and rested her back against the wall, her face up and looking at the plain white ceiling.

Once the dizziness left her, she straightened up and grimaced at the first thing that caught her attention. There was some semi dried thick red blood that was smudged and smeared on the floor. Averting her eyes from the sight, Autumn looked up. There was a small hanging board that had First Floor written on it.

A sudden crashing sound made Autumn jump. Glass shattered and screams echoed. A squealing of tires came and then everything stopped.

Autumn's breathing laboured as the voices reverberated in her mind. She knew the memory she was reaching out to was the right one.

From far away, the heartbroken cries of a broken girl travelled through the air to Autumn. The sound sent Autumn limping faster and dragging her feet to the elevator. If she was right about her perception of locating her friends in the places they had been found, she had to go to the third floor.

"I'm sorry..."

The voice was unfamiliar, but the words weren't. Autumn clenched her jaw and fought back the memory. She focused her attention solely on the task at hand and stopped in front of the elevator. The metal doors yawned open when Autumn pressed the button and she stepped inside.
