Damage (Newt fanfic the maze runner)

My eyes flutter open. It was dark and I was scared. I leaned against my hand for support to get up but winced in pain. I looked down at my hand. It wasn't to dark to not notice the 6cm gash running down the plam of my hand. "Hello? I-is anyone there?" No answer. I jerked forward as the box moved upwards. Where is it taking me? I wonder. Who sent me here? The box finally stopped. I look up to see some light. Then suddenly i hear voices.

"Wonder who the Greenie is now"

"Uggg, he's probably gonna ask a klunk full of quesions"

Greenie? Klunk? What do those mean?

"Come on get him out already!"

A few heads poke into the box. Their face full of shock.

"What?! Never seen a girl before?" I grew impationt.

"It's a girl!" I hear a courus of chatter.

"Is she hot?"

"I call dibs!"

"Hey! No fair!"

"Slim it!" The voice was very imidating. "Now get her out before she dieds of shock!"

A few seconds later a rope drops down. I put me foot on the hoop and gently tug it to signal them to pull me up.

"Who are you people? And why are you so shocked?" I ask tapping my foot.

A dark skinned boy slowly walks up to me. His arms folded on his chest. No emotion seemed to apper on his face. "My name's Alby" Yeah like that's ganna help! "And welcome to the Glade" He puts out his hand. I shake it.

"And you're name might be...?"

"Oh! Right sorry. My names Alexa" Finally I remember something!

He nods. He points to one of the boys. "Go tell Newt to come here now!"

The boy quickly nods and makes his way to some wierd wooded house. Newt. That name sounded so fimiliar. But where had I of heared it?

"Hi! I'm Chuck" The boy looked about 12-13ish.

"Hey. Alexa but you can call me Alex" I smile. Maybe this place isn't so bad after all.
