A Leak in the World.

Chapter Four

I had no idea where I was going, nor did I care. I just wanted to get away, get away from my life, my home, my family, all of it. I just kept running, tears running down my face and flying into the wind as I ran. I loved it at Chat noir, he was my escape, he was free, I was not. He could do whatever he wanted, I could not. As Chat I had a purpose, I wasn't some daddy's boy, I actually made a different as Chat. I fell out of my thoughts and landed on a roof of one of the many houses in paris, and watched the kids, big and small, walking around houses, dressed up in costumes ( many of them as me or Ladybug) Trick-or-Treating. The joy on there face was so detailed, and just seemed to remind me how I was never allowed to do that. Another wave of emotions swelled over me, and I jumped off the building, attracting the views of the parisians. I needed to escape my thoughts, I couldn't let Hawkmoth get to me. It was easy for me to hide my emotions, I had been doing it for years, but this time it was just too much. I needed to talk to someone, but who? I couldn't talk to Nino or Alya because they didn't knoe Chat. What other friends did I have who knew Chat? Marinette yes! Marinette! I could go to her! She knew Chat, and shes my friend! I changed my direction, now following that sweet sent coming from the bakery.
I landed on her balcony, and knocked on her trapdoor. "Marinette?" I called..... no response. " Marinette?" I called again, opening her trapdoor and poking my head through. Her room was empty. She wasn't there. "Sigh" I was just about to head home, when Something cought my eye and I leaned back in her room, trying to get a better look at the cork board on her wall. Huh.. interesting.. pictures of me? I thought. Why did she have pictures of me? "Oh wait, she loves fashion Doi." I chuckled to myself and left her room, closing the trapdoor behind me lept off her balcony, headed for home.
I passed the Eiffel Tower on my way home, and decided to take a short stop. I dont feel like being home right now anyway. I landed on top of the Eiffel Tower, looking over the beautiful piece of art that was Paris. I noticed spotlights floating through the sky and remembered Chloe's Halloween party! I forgot. Maybe I should stop by, Check it out. One more pit stop cant hurt.... So me being me, I dived off the Tower and flew towards the hotel.

It took me a few minutes to get to the hotel, but not too long. I landed on a building nearby the hotel, so I could see the party without being spotted. The party inside was crazy, the music was so loud I could hear it clearly from out here! I looked up to the roof for no reason impaticular, to see Marinette, my princess sitting on the roof with Nathaniel, and for some reason I felt a twinge of jealousy. Where was this feeling coming from?
"Ok then, bye." The red head said as he got into the elevator. " Bye" Marinette said. And the doors closed. Hey this is my chance to talk to her!
I thought and jumped off the roof, and landed behind her, she heard it and jumped." WAHH- Oh, you scared me!"
Marinette yelled putting a hand to her heart. "Sorry princess" I said kissing her hand. "What are you doing here Chat?" Marinette asked me. "Well- I- I guess I was looking for you. I stopped by your house but you weren't there, but then I remembered that Chloe was throwing a party and thought you might be here. And- here you are" I said " How did you know Chloe was throwing party?" She asked "She invited me" seeing the suspicious expression on Marinettes face I continued. " She invited everyone! I was going to come as my civilian self, but at the last minute I was told I couldn't come." "Oh... w-Why were you looking for me?" Marinette asked. "Well, when my fa- when I wasn't allowed to come I got really mad. Im never allowed to do anything. My father isnt really leaneint on things like this. So I got really mad and I realized that I had to talk to someone about it, because if I didnt I could become Akumatized. So, I thought of you which is why I went to your house." "Oh Chat.." Marinette pulled Chat into a hug, trying to comfort him as much as humanly possible. Chat wrapped his arms around her in return and nuzzled his head in the crook of her neck, finally allowing himself to cry. They stayed like that for a few minutes, then Chat pulled away, wiping his tears. " Are you okay now Chat?" Marinette asked him " Yes, I do believe I am" the blonde heroin said with a smile. " You know you can talk to me anytime right? Ill always be here for you" Marinette said with a smile. "Yes, I believe so purrrincess." "Ah, crisis averted everyone, the classic Chat has returned at last." Marinette said, waving to an invisible crowd with both hands. Chat chuckled. " Thank you Marinette. I really needed it." Chat said, sitting on the edge of the railing, preparing to leave. " No problem Chat" she said. Chat quickly kissed her cheek and launched himself into the night before she could react.

Marinette raised a hand to her cheek. Why did he do that? She thought but thought nothing more of it. I should probably go back down now..... Marinette turned and walked over the elevator and pressed the button. After a few seconds the elevator doors opened and she stepped in, gazing after chat until the doors closed, blocking her view.
Wow what is it with me an long chapters.. man..

As soon as the elevator doors opened she was smacked in the face with heat, loud music, and the smell of sweat. Marinette stepped out and went in search of Alya. "HOW COULD YOU!" "I-I- WHY?? WHY??" Marinette looked over to the noise, to see Juleka running out of the building, a wad of rags in her hands, and tears poring out of her eyes. Marinette imeditly ran after her, trying to stop a new Akuma. Marinette followed Juleka around a corner and gasped. She had gotten there just in time to see Juleka covered in purple bubbles, revealing a ripped, black, red and white dress on a girl with white skin and black eyes. "Ugg not again."
