A Leak in the World.

Chapter Sixteen

Adrien laid, dressed in white on a ivory table. His face flush with new color. His cheeks a healthy pink. He almost looked human again. (He was) The table he was on was placed in the middle of a circle platform with two bridges faced in front of him. At the end of both bridges, there was a pair of gates. The bridge on the left had golden gates and a blinding white light behind it.

The bridge on the right was black and melting, a black hole behind it. In between the bridges was a pearl pedestal with a big book on it with gold and leather binding.Outside of that, if you looked everywhere else you would see nothing but a scarlet void in every direction. Adrien shuffled in his sleep.

"Ah, he is waking. Please send for him." Adriens eyes shot open, and he sat up, looking around. At the beginning of the golden bridge, a man stood. He had long brown hair and a full beard. He was dressed in a white robe, with no shoes or socks. In each and and in each foot, there was a hole.But something was different about this man, he immediately made Adrien feel safe and warm. (We'll call this man the holy man)

On the other bridge, another man was walking down. He had sleek blonde hair, and deep, endlessly black eyes. From his back, there were two huge black wings, with claws at the joint and curled horns atop his head. He was dressed in a scarlet robe and had this feeling around him that terrified Adrien.(We'll call this man the Fallen man)

next to him, walking down the length of the bridge there was a. Man? Adrien didn't know what he was. He had the shape of a human. But it was odd, it had four faces. One of a man, one of a lion, an eagle, and... a cupid?" It had four huge wings, spread out like a bird. It was shouting "Holy Holy Holy" over and over again. It was a little creepy.

"W-where am I?" Adrien asked. As he spoke, he no longer felt the sharp points of his incisors. "You are on the bridge of judgement." The Holy man said. As the Fallen man stopped at the edge of his bridge. "Here you will be judged and placed."

Adrien understood. And nodded. He had been to church once before. He was told that when you died you would be judged and placed, wether you would go to heaven or hell was up to God. " The Holy man picked up the book, opened it, flipped through a few pages, and said

" Adrien Agreste.." The Holy man read through the book, telling Adrien his whole life story, from the time Adrien was born, to the time he died, the Holy man never missed a second of Adriens life, reminding Adrien of things he wanted to forget, and have forgotten. The Fallen man had been staring at Adrien like a dog waiting to be given a treat. After what felt like hours. " And then you killed yourself with a knife to the heart." And with that, the Holy man closed the book and placed it back on the pedestal.

"Adrien, my boy, we had not been expecting you so soon. Why are you here?" "I-I was tired of my life, tired of being dead, tired of it all. I didn't trust myself. I had to leave." Adrien said, head held low. "A very noble act of you. Wouldn't you think?" The Holy man asked the Fallen man. " Yes. Yes indeed. Can I have him now?"
The Fallen man asked. Adrien shivered, it wasnt cold, but his voice was horrible, yet soothing, like deep depression. Adrien was confused Wait what! Im going with him!? "No. No you cannot." The Holy Man said, and the Fallen man retaliated " Jesus! You cant be serious! I have right to him! He is mine!" "He may have been but he is not yours anymore Lucifer. He is free from that life." Jesus said. Lucifer quieted, he knew he could not win. "Adrien, It is not your time yet. You must go back." "No! nonononoplease! I can't go back." Adrien begged. If I stay at least I cant be a danger to anyone. "Adrien, I will give you a choice. Do you want to stay, or go back." "I-" Adrien realised what staying ment. If I stay, I will have to go to hell with him. Hell is a place of endless pain and sorrow. But then again so was my life. I could learn to live as a dead man. I could run away. Live in a forest. Away from everyone.

"I want to go back." Adrien finially said. Lucifer looked furious. " very well" Jesus said " Adrien, you will be sent back to live your life again. You now have a second chance. I just ask this one favor from you. Will you share my Fathers word?" Adrien was overjoyed. Not only would he live again, he would re live his whole life again! "Yes. Yes Jesus I will."

Adrien smiled. Jesus walked towards Adrien with his arms open, Adrien accepted the hug and returned it. It was the most amazing thing. Warm, safe and wait wet?

Adrien tried to open his eyes but couldn't, it was so dark, he wanted to get out. But he couldn't. He was trapped. In an uncomfortable position. He fought it but couldn't escape. Tears formed and he started to cry.He heard yelling, yelling of pain and yelling of encouragement. Adrien felt himself slip out of the darkness and warmth, a bright light hit his eyes and he cried, there was a man in paper holding him, and then he felt a pressure on his bellybutton, there was a clip on a cord connected to his belly. He was wrapped in a soft blanket, and saw a woman and a man and immediately knew who they were. Mom and then It hit him; he had been born again.
