eleanor could feel the nerves bubble in her lungs, mike leading her to bill's house where an emergency meeting of "the losers club" had been called. she wasn't sure how to feel, she was angry at stanley for telling them all her secret, but to be quite truthful she missed him. in fact she missed all of them.

when eleanor and mike knock on the garage door it slides open, and the blue eyed girl is yanked inside - only to be smothered with hugs. the several boys and the red haired girl are all cheering happily upon seeing their friend again and eleanor laughs.

"o-okay guys, b-back to the main i-issue at hand," bill stutters and eleanor finally gets a good look at the room. a layout of derry's sewer system strung up on the wall and a projector ready for use.

she feels glad that they're getting straight to business, grateful that she wouldn't be asked any questions. they all take their respective places, and eleanor can see stanley watch her guiltily as she gets closer to the projector.

bill slides a piece of the map from old derry into it, lining it up with the one of new derry that he had put up onto the wall. it's dead silent in the room aside from a few clinks and clanks, the darkness of the situation dawning on the girl who hadn't shown her face in a week.

"look," bill points, "that's where g-g-georgie disappeared, there's the ironwork's and the black spot. everywhere it happens, it's all connected by the sewers and they all meet up at the.."

"the well-house," ben exclaims.

"that's the house on neibolt street," stanley chimes in. eleanor almost forgot what his voice sounded like, voice cracks and all.

"you mean that creepy ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?" richie asks.

eleanor notices eddie's breathing quicken and he reaches for his inhaler. she places a warm hand on his shoulder for comfort, rubbing it gently and he gives a thankful, but panicked look at her.

"i hate that place, it always feels like it's watching me," beverly claims.

"that's where i saw it," eddie starts, "that's where i saw the clown."

"th-that's where it lives," bill states as eddie takes another puff from his inhaler.

"i can't imagine anyone wanting to live there," stanley says and eleanor's eyes are stuck on the map. eddie stands up rapidly, getting all of their attention.

"can we stop talking about this. i can barely breathe," he begins - very clearly out of breath. "this is summer, we're kids. i can barely breathe, i think i'm having a fucking asthma attack and i'm not doing this!"

the small boy turns, ripping the map from the wall. eleanor watches as things begin to unfold, bill pointing at the boy.

"what the hell! put the map back!"

eddie gulps in a big breath of air and shakes his head, the slides in the projector beginning to change by themselves. the room feels like the walls are closing in on the dark haired girl, photos of georgie and bill's family showing up behind eddie.

all of the teenagers eyes are glued to the action, panic building in all of them.

an image of the denbrough family appearing. the next slide is of the same picture, except slightly zoomed in. "georgie," bill says.

the slides begin changing faster and faster, and eleanor wants out. the air in the room is suffocating her and she turns to meet stanley's eyes. he thinks the exact same thing as her.

the image is moving at a rapid speed, zooming in on georgie's face and then moving to examine the person in white's. red hair is whipping in the wind, hiding the true identity of the person and eleanor grabs stan's hand for comfort. the familiar clown beginning to show through the hair covering it, the group of losers standing from their seats and backing away.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" richie screams. "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!" he yells again, shaking eddie's arm aggressively.

the dark haired girls stomach feels tight, her lungs sitting heavy in her chest and she knows something bad is going to happen. the tension in the room high as the slides continues rapidly changing, almost as fast as if it were a movie.

there's screaming from behind her and she would laugh if it weren't for the situation they were in.

"turn it off," beverly demands. pennywise's face is clear on the screen, taunting them. "turn it off!" she repeats, yelling at bill.

mike kicks over the projector, it its the ground and now faces another wall on a tilt. the horrific face of the clown is nowhere to be seen and eleanor nudges stan to look behind them at the bright light being displayed.

the room falls pitch black momentarily and eleanor has a death grip on the curly haired boy's hand, willing him to take a step backwards as if it would lead them to safety. the light turns back on and eleanor cannot stop the scream that falls from her lips as the clown jumps out from the image, turning towards her and the taller boy.

the clown crawls out, chasing them as they all back away.

his teeth are sharp and there are rows among rows of them, eleanor screams at richie, who she would determine was close enough to count them all. she pulls the boy with the huge glasses behind her as the large hand reaches out for them.

bright natural light spilling in as mike and ben pull up the garage door as fast as they can. pennywise has vanished and a heavy weight is left in the pit of eleanor's stomach.

they are all in deep shit now, she thinks as she removes her hand from stan's.
