{Lita's p.o.v}

'you look so beautiful...' He said to me, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

I blushed at his comment and leaned into his shoulder as another slow song played. He kissed my head which made my knees feel weak, and we swayed to the music, not speaking only listening to the sound of each others heartbeats. The song every breath you take came on, it was our song. I looked up at him, and he down at me. I smiled at him,and he smiled back. We leaned in and our lips were about to touch...but then I woke up,

"Fuck..." I muttered, annoyed at my own stupid dream.

Of course it was a dream, me and Bill weren't a couple anymore, and I had pretty much moved on. Yes it kind of stings to remember we aren't together anymore, but after he found out Georgie had in fact died, he was devastated, and things only went downhill from their in our relationship. I was just grateful that we were both apart of the losers club otherwise we wouldn't see or speak to each other at all. I was also grateful that the losers decided to we should all go the school formal, besides maybe this would be my chance to finally rekindle our newfound friendship.

"G-g-guys I've been thinking, and I think w-we should s-skip the dance." Bill announced to the other losers.

"Why?" Richie asked, "It's like the biggest dance of the year, and you want to skip it??"

"Yea, Bill, it could be fun..." Beverly said

"W-well, I'm just s-s-saying w-we've never g-gone before, w-why start n-now?" Bill said simply.

"Dude, this might sound kind of lame, but I kind of wanted to go...with someone..." Stan said

"See, even Stan here wants to go, and he never wants to go anywhere." Richie says

"Actually maybe we shouldn't go..." Ben cut in, "Besides what about mike? He doesn't even go to school, won't he feel left out?"

"Oh come on you too Ben? Think of it like this, we're 15 years old now, if we don't go to this dance we'll probably NEVER get another chance to go to a party, and as for Mike, he can still come, as long as we bring him.." Richie said in a convincing tone.

"Well, what do you think Lita?" Eddie asked me

The rest of the losers turned to me to hear my answer,

"Well uh, I think we should go...maybe for like an hour or something?" I say trying to sound confident.

"That's...actually a good idea..." Eddie comments

"Then it's settled, we'll all go to the dance and then after an hour, if you so choose you are free to leave." Richie says in a matter of fact tone.

The rest of the losers agreed with the compromise, and so it was settled. Once the losers dispersed from the hall I stayed with Bill at his locker while he put things away. Once he did that he closed his locker and started to walk to his class, not noticing I was there per usual,  soI jogged up beside him. In this moment I realized that I needed to have an actual conversation with him, it was now or never,

"So uh bill how come you didn't want to go to the dance?" I asked him.

"O-oh n-n-no reason. I-i was just s-s-suggesting it...I-i still might not go t-though.." bill  replied, shrugging his shoulders, not even looking at me, as we reached my classroom door.
