I spent the next days avoiding the truth while all the girls where being asked to the Yule Ball. It had suddenly seemed unimportant to me, like no matter what I do coming to Hogwarts verified the fact that my life would never be normal again.
As I walked alone in the hall I saw a boy walk up to me, his sliver eyes glowing as he saw me. I brought him into a hug. Why wasn't he worthy, I loved him why couldn't something just be for once.
"Hey." I said sadly knowing I hadn't seen him for awhile. He saw my sad demeanour and took my hands. He looked down at me and smiled softly.
"I want to show you something." Draco said grabbing my hand.
We walked for awhile until we were at a clearing in the forest. It was lit with floating candles and the ground was covered in roses. It was beautiful.
"I needed to be with you without any distractions." He said pulling me down next to him. His smile was contagious. It was hard to think everything was going wrong when I was looking at Draco.
"You know it's like the universe doesn't want us together." I joked and he ran his hand through my blonde hair.
"Since when did we care about the opposing forces." Draco said laying my head on his chest as I leaned into him. He stroked my back tenderly as his arms wrapped around me.
"Think about it though, Your a Slytherin, I'm a Gryffindor. Harry's my best friend, you hate him with a burning passion. Everytime we almost end up happy someone or something gets in the way." I complained and he let out a throaty chuckle.
"Nothing's in the way here and now." He said bring his lips down to meet mine. For once we sat alone together without anyone getting in the way, well expect for the pendant. I learned a concealing charm so when the pendant burned through my skin it wasn't obvious.
I was holding back as much as I could knowing if I gave him all of me the pendant would burn and he noticed.
"What's wrong." He said separating our kiss.
"Nothing." I lied before we sat for awhile together.
We didn't get moments like these anymore, we barely got to see eachother because of everyone.
I stared into his storm filled eyes while the wind whistled around us. His scent covered me and his warmth filled me. Who cared if he wasn't worthy of my love, if I though he was.
